Dear Guests,
We are delighted that you have chosen our double rooms in Blankenese and warmly welcome you.
Our vacation rooms were completed in November 2022 and have been lovingly furnished for you. We hope you’ll feel right at home here. From our house, you can reach the shopping street in the village center, all the parks, the “Treppenviertel” district, and the Elbe River on foot in just a few minutes.
The beach, with its ferry terminal and two sailing clubs, as well as several beautiful parks, invite you to take relaxing walks.
These are located in a building where our restaurant, Steak House Rio Grande, has been successfully operating on the first floor for 17 years!

By booking the vacation double room, you agree to the following house rules.
House Rules/Terms and Conditions for the
Vacation Rental The double room is a non-smoking room.
We therefore ask that you DO NOT smoke inside the apartment. Thank you very much.
Please let us know your estimated arrival time if it differs from the specified arrival times. The key card will be handed over as individually arranged.
We provide bed linens for the duration of your stay. You do not need to remove the sheets before your departure.
Used dishes should be placed back in the cabinets clean and dry; the beds do not need to be stripped.
Before you leave, please simply pile all used towels on the floor.
Bathroom.
To prevent limescale buildup, please wipe down the tiles and glass in the shower after showering.
Leave the window open—and, if possible, the door as well—to air out the room.
Do not throw or pour any hygiene products, trash, food scraps, harmful liquids, grease, or similar items into the shower or toilet, as this can cause unpleasant clogs. Please use the facilities provided.
Damage
No one intentionally damages property, but accidents can happen to anyone. If this should occur, please be sure to report the damage to us immediately so that we do not discover it during the final cleaning after your departure.
The guest is liable for damages up to the cost of replacement.
Bedding
Unless otherwise agreed, the cost of final cleaning is included in the total price. It is calculated based on standard cleaning requirements. If you’d like additional cleaning, please let us know!
Hair Dryer
We provide a hair dryer for the duration of your stay. You’ll find it in the cabinet under the sink.
Liability
The landlord is not liable for the guest(s)’ valuables.
Towels
We provide towels for the duration of your stay. You will find additional towels in the cabinet under the sink.
Please simply leave used towels on the floor before departure. First-aid kit
A small first-aid kit is available in case of emergency; you can find it in the cabinet under the sink. However, we hope you won’t need it.
Landlord’s Rights
Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary for the landlord to enter the vacation rental without the guest’s knowledge.
Pets
Pets are allowed in the apartment.
Internet/Wi-Fi
A wireless internet connection (Wi-Fi) is available in the vacation rental. The
access code is provided in the vacation rental.
Crib/High Chair
Upon request, we will provide you with a travel crib (including bedding) and/or a high chair free of charge. Please simply let us know what you need when booking.
Kitchen
The kitchen has been completely renovated. Please treat the kitchen fixtures and appliances with care. Please return dishes to the cabinets only when they are dry and clean. The same applies to cutlery, pots, and appliances you have used. Please put everything back exactly as you would like to find it yourself.
Do not throw or pour any waste, food scraps, harmful liquids, grease, or similar items into the sink, as this can cause unpleasant clogs.
Ventilation
To prevent mold growth, please ventilate the rooms adequately—at least once a day for 5–10 minutes, and especially after showering.
Trash
Since we are required to separate trash, we ask for your help in doing so.
Trash must be separated as follows:
- Packaging material (yellow bag), i.e., all packaging with the Green Dot.
- Paper (blue trash can). The bin for this is located by the coat check.
- Organic waste (green trash can), i.e., fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee filters, tea bags, etc. - General waste (anything not covered by the first two categories)
- We will dispose of glass bottles and returnable bottles for you upon request.
We provide trash bags.
You can park directly in the courtyard in front of the vacation rental. Additional public parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity.
In the event of a sudden failure of furnishings, public utilities, or due to force majeure, there is no entitlement to a price reduction. Any defects in the vacation rental must be reported to the landlord immediately. The guest shall grant the landlord a reasonable period of time to remedy the defects. Complaints made at a later date will not be accepted and cannot be taken into account.
Smoking
Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vacation rental. Damage such as burn marks and holes in or on furniture, flooring, bedding, etc., will result in us having to charge you for the replacement value.
Smoking is permitted throughout the entire property. However, please do not discard cigarette butts on the ground; instead, dispose of them in the provided ashtrays or in the general waste bin.
Cleaning
If you have an accident (extreme dirt, liquids on the floor or countertops, etc.), please clean it up immediately. A broom, dustpan, vacuum cleaner, and cleaning supplies are available. You can get a bucket and mop in the main house.
We ask that you leave the vacation rental swept clean upon departure and return all used dishes to the cabinets clean and dry.
The front door can only be opened from the outside with a key card. Please do not slam the door shut carelessly; instead, make sure you have your key card with you. The front door should always be kept closed and locked with your key card whenever you leave the house. Likewise, all windows must be closed when leaving the apartment to prevent potential damage from severe weather or break-ins.

Upon request or by arrangement, we offer additional extras such as a refrigerator/bread roll service or the organization of a barbecue or bonfire evening.
