This is where canines go to get away from humans, relax, and let their hair down! They run the trails and swim the creek! Hopefully they invite their humans to join them. The view is absolutel breathtaking.They can watch television (Scooby Doo and Animal Planet are favorites), chill out in the large, fenced backyard, rest on the rear deck, or simply chill out and snack on treats! If 101 Dalmations come, or a pack of humans, the main Canine Retreat log home is nearby out of sight.

Host was super quick to respond, very helpful! The drive to the house is on a hilly gravel road, if you have 4 wheel drive, use it! Cute little house with a great view of a ridge!

Thanks for visiting! Yep, the house is on a hill and that's why the view is so spectacular! The state highway as you noticed is also gravel. Welcome to Arkansas and Mother Nature as it's meant to be! Perfect for small families or friends that dont want to pay an arm and a leg to be close to nature! There is a fenced area for dogs, but also plenty of space to run around and easy creek access with shallow areas for kids and dogs. It's secluded enough that we had our privacy, but still only a few minutes from dollar general if you need anything last minute, and just a few more minutes to town. There is a microwave and full size refrigerator, but bring a grill or hot plate if you plan to cook meals here.

It was a pleasure to host you and your family! Yes its a special place indeed built with my own two hands at age 65. I wasnt sure folks would enjoy a smaller unit compared to my 3 story log home. Your review was spot on: affordability and mother nature! Hope you visit again!
