The Location
This modern and harmoniously furnished apartment, with a penthouse-like feel and an east-facing orientation, is located on the 5th floor. The resort’s expansive grounds border the dike directly to the northeast; the other sides are surrounded by the watercourse of an idyllic Graft. The North Sea and the sandy beach are just 200 m away. There is virtually no car traffic here. Enjoy the refreshing sea climate on long walks or while relaxing in a sheltered beach chair. Numerous shopping options, restaurants, and cafés are easily accessible on foot or by bike. The surrounding area offers great recreational and family activities, such as the popular Hooksiel water ski lift with its large sun terrace. Our family tip: Take a guided mudflat hike!

Resort:

A vacation on the dike and by the North Sea at the wonderful NordseeResort Friesland!

The NordseeResort Friesland is situated in a fantastic location right on the dike in a quiet, virtually car-free area and is surrounded by small, idyllic waterways known as “Graften.” The fine-sand beach is just 200 meters away. North Sea lovers, families, and nature enthusiasts especially enjoy the spacious, open floor plans and the excellent location of the charming vacation homes and apartments. The North Sea, the Wadden Sea, and the dunes put you in vacation and relaxation mode the moment you arrive.

The fresh sea breeze and the salty scent of the North Sea fill the air, rejuvenating your spirit. Strolling along the beach and on the dike, building sandcastles, and searching for seashells—or taking an adventure-filled hike through the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site—are fun activities for the whole family. Most of the apartments and vacation homes feature a sauna, a whirlpool tub, and a wood-burning stove. All accommodations offer a balcony or terrace. If you like, after a sauna session you can simply walk to the nearby beach and cool off in the North Sea…

Schillig’s unique peninsula location, the gently sloping beach, and the shallow water are especially popular with families with children, but also with dog owners and their faithful companions. Here, two-legged and four-legged friends romp about to their hearts’ content—each on "their own beach," of course. The ebb and flow of the tides offers unforgettable experiences.
