The room was very clean, and I absolutely loved the mountain view—it was breathtaking. The surrounding nature was wonderful. I highly recommend visiting the Slide Rock recreational area and Looking Glass Waterfall. You will be able to take some beautiful pictures there. This is a wonderful place to be with the Creator amidst the beauty of God’s creation. It offers a chance to reconnect with yourself so that when you return to work and daily life you will have a better perspective. New, desirable, and expansive spiritual insights are welcome here.

This is the best place we have ever rented for a family reunion. The lodge is larger and even more beautiful than I anticipated. It is a huge house with an open floor plan and an enormous main-level living room. Six of the eight bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, the other three bathrooms are in common areas. Two upper-level rooms feature attic spaces beautifully furnished with beanbag seating and floor mattresses. The view from the attic is simply heavenly. The kitchen is stocked with all the basic utensils and dinnerware, and the home features three distinct dining areas. Downstairs on the left is essentially a full one-bedroom apartment, complete with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, lounge, balcony with outdoor furniture, and access to the hot tub. The other side of the basement offers a game and living area with poker and pool tables, a bedroom with a full bathroom, and additional hot tub access. The highlight for me was the wet bar area, featuring retro diner-style seating, a jukebox, a vending machine, and a wall-mounted payphone.Communication with the management team was seamless; Heidi stayed in touch throughout our stay. There is so much to praise about this beautiful property: comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, spacious sitting areas, plenty of indoor games, and breathtaking mountain views from the living area. Despite its massive size, the house is remarkably clean and well-maintained.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review. We're thrilled that the lodge proved to be the perfect setting for your family reunion, and it's fantastic to hear you loved the attic spaces with their heavenly views, the retro diner-style wet bar with the jukebox, and all the thoughtful touches throughout. The open floor plan, multiple dining areas, and mix of entertainment spaces clearly made a real difference for your group, and we're so glad the beds were comfortable and the mountain views took your breath away. We'd love to welcome you back whenever your next gathering calls for a special space. The VueStay Team

We have stayed here 2 years in a row for our annual family ski trip and we absolutely love it! We will definitely be back again. The house is beautiful, big enough for our large family, and clean! The kids look forward to their stay here and they always want to stay longer. Highly recommend for a large group/family. 10/10

This home is warm and beautiful!! The view!!! I just can’t say enough about the view and location. The home is spacious and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. There were a few issues with door handles and the master shower and balcony door got stuck. Of course, these were small issues compared to the overall experience. We would definitely come back again!

Wonderful Getaway

We had a large group with ages ranging from 1 year to mid-70’s. The property itself is gorgeous. The check-in/check-out process very smooth and the company even called to check on us during our stay. This would be perfect for a church group or (like in our case) families sharing a stay. We skied at

great family getaway

The property is beautiful and the home has plenty of space. We travel together frequently and this is the only house that has had adequate seating in common areas to accommodate everyone getting a comfortable seat. Only suggestion would be adding more cookwawade.

King Lodge is absolutely stunning! The views are breathtaking and serene.

We were well accommodated, we had a total of 16 adults and one infant. More than enough room for everyone and then some. The lodge was very clean and peaceful. We plan to book the King Lodge again.

Great place for a large group

The views were amazing. Loved sitting outside watching the the horses and sheep in the valley and just looking at the mountain ranges. The “50’s” room downstairs was so cute and a fun hang out spot. It was just a perfect place for a girls trip

We are disheartened to read that you experienced issues that kept you from fully enjoying your stay. Our local manager assured us that the toilet has been repaired and multiple areas of the house are in the process of being painted. Your feedback on the furniture was passed along to the homeowner for consideration and we appreciate your insights. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.

Motorcycle Trip to Maggie Valley NC

We have a large group and it's difficult to find a property that can accommodate 15 guys. This house list 14 beds but there are additional sleeping areas. The location is great right off of Route 209 a great motorcycle road. The house is so big I kept getting lost at first. What a view in every direction! Would definitely rent again.
