We are Andrés and Blanca, from Costa Rica and Barcelona respectively. After traveling the world looking for the ideal place to settle down and start an ecotourism project, we fell in love with Veracruz and created IXAYA. We love sharing our space with people from all over the world, hosting them in our bamboo, wood, and stone cabins, and offering a warm, authentic experience. We are also passionate about nature, good food (especially our homemade pizzas and breakfasts), and sharing our space alongside our friendly cats

We chose the beautiful community of Dos Amates because it is a very peaceful and quiet village of about 750 people, perfectly nestled in nature. It offers the ultimate setting to disconnect, relax, and enjoy cool, fresh weather surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. Strategically located just 20 minutes from Catemaco, it is right in the middle of everything—making it incredibly easy for guests to explore local beaches, waterfalls (like Salto de Eyipantla), reserves, and the surrounding mountains while returning to a peaceful sanctuary at night
