Casa Eco Chañar is a peaceful retreat in the Atacama Desert, a 10-minute drive from downtown San Pedro de Atacama. The house is an architectural project, featuring a semicircular design inspired by Aldea de Tulor. Built of mud, it keeps the house cool during the day and warm at night. The space The house has two comfortable bedrooms for up to five people: one double bedroom and one triple bedroom with queen-size beds. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with hot water, and a cozy common area for relaxing after exploring the desert. It is located on a quiet property, with parking and spacious open areas where you can enjoy the quiet, nature, and a unique starry sky or a full moon in all its splendor.
Guest access Guests have full access to the house, including the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and common lounge area. Guests can also enjoy the terrace, an ideal place to relax, admire the desert landscape, and gaze at the starry sky. The property is quiet and has a parking space.
Other things to note The house is located in an oasis called Ayllu de Coyo, a group of villages or agricultural areas around the center of San Pedro de Atacama. Guests are advised to come by car to comfortably explore the surrounding area. The house is 2 minutes from Route 23, the main road that connects to the main tourist attractions, which are not in the town of San Pedro de Atacama but located in the surrounding area. The nights are dark and clear, ideal for gazing at the starry sky. It is suggested to bring warm clothes, as the temperature drops at night.
