The vacation apartment is accessed via a staircase with 5 steps leading to our lovingly renovated brick house. The brick house currently contains 2 vacation apartments with separate entrances. The main entrance and hallway area are shared by several guests. When it came to the interior design, we tried to preserve the house’s old charm and opted for natural tones for the walls, floors, and furnishings. In the bedroom, the walls were finished with exposed brick to reflect the historic look of the brick house. The high ceilings were preserved, and a cozy little bathroom was added. In the living-dining-kitchen area, you’ll also find exposed brick in the fireplace nook. The cozy warmth and the crackling of the fireplace create a lovely atmosphere on cold evenings while you relax on the couch. The fully equipped kitchen and the dining area round out the living/dining room. From here, you can step right out onto the terrace and into the courtyard.
From the terrace, you have a wonderful view of the courtyard and garden, which you can enjoy together with the other guests. You’re welcome to relax in our lovely three-sided courtyard as well as the beautiful, spacious garden.
Our property used to be home to a pick-your-own apple orchard. Today, only one apple tree remains on the property; the other trees are on the neighboring lot. The courtyard offers seating for barbecuing and relaxing. In the large, green garden, there’s a fire pit, and under the pear tree, a bench where you can sit and enjoy the sunrise or sunset. We live in the house next door and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
