Ferienhaus Puddewohl ein Haus, so Außergewöhnlich wie Sein Name

Welcome to the first hempcrete house on the island of Rügen—a vacation home that uniquely combines sustainable construction with stylish living.

The walls of the house are made of pressed hemp brick—a natural mixture of water, lime, and hemp shives that ensures a pleasant, low-allergen, and consistent indoor climate. The breathable clay plaster on the interior walls regulates humidity and creates an exceptionally cozy living environment in every season.

This healthy indoor climate is supported by energy-efficient radiant heating powered by a quiet air-source heat pump, as well as a water-bearing fireplace that provides cozy warmth. The choice of materials also follows a clear concept: Tiles were deliberately omitted—instead, elegant travertine stone was meticulously crafted, giving the house a natural, warm atmosphere.

On the open-concept first floor, you’ll find a spacious living area with a wood-burning stove and a fully equipped, modern kitchen—perfect for cooking and dining together. You’ll also find a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The upper floor features three additional bedrooms—two with double beds and one with single beds that can be pushed together—as well as a comfortable full bathroom. A special highlight is the converted gable with a magnificent view: ideal as a retreat for reading, working, or playing.

The lovingly landscaped garden is completely enclosed by a picket fence about 1 m high—here, even your well-behaved four-legged friends can roam freely and safely.

Experience something special: a vacation home that impresses not only with its architecture but also with its atmosphere—natural, sustainable, and simply inviting.
