The Baltic Sea lies right at your feet here—in just 130 meters, you’ll reach the fine-sand, kilometer-long South Beach. The surrounding area offers numerous excursion options for your visit: the Prora Documentation Center, the Prora Center, the Rügen Classic Car Museum, the Rügen NVA Museum, the Galileo Knowledge World Rügen, the Binz-Prora Climbing Forest, and the Rügen Natural Heritage Center with its treetop trail, as well as the popular Karls Adventure Village in Zirkow. Within walking distance, you’ll find two bakeries, several bistros, a restaurant, small fashion and souvenir shops, and a bike rental shop. A sailing school is located about 3 km away. At the nearby Dormero Strandhotel (about 800 m), you can purchase day passes and enjoy the pool, sauna, and fitness area to your heart’s content.
