There is a fantastic natural area around Torrevieja and you can go on tours on foot and by bike in the impressive protected natural park Las Lagunas de la Mata. The pink lagoon also offers you a special nature experience, as not only the pink water is a special sight, but also the wild flamingos foraging in the water. There are also many beautiful hiking and cycling trails that take you through the La Mata wine region. The quiet town of Punta Prima with its popular coastal promenade and small bays, including Cala Ferris, and the Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar regional park are also worth a visit.
