A cozy modern travel trailer nestled amid live oaks in our backyard. The quiet neighborhood is minutes from downtown and the UF's campus. The 19-foot camper features a comfortable queen bed, stove, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Shower and separate water closet. Ideal for a solo traveler or an active couple.
Special: 15% discount for weekly and 30% for monthly stays.
Fun fact: we're on the same street Tom Petty grew up on, around the corner from the newly renamed Tom Petty Park.
The space The camper is in the backyard of our house, which my kitty cat Suzette lets me share with her. There are two places to park - directly in front of the camper or under a car port in the driveway.
The place has a sweet private patio area. The yard is shady and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. People walk dogs, stroll around with kids and chit chat. There's a tiny library a cross the street. A block away is a park with tennis and pickleball courts, a playground and ballfields. The close-in 'hood is conducive to strolling. I often bike to work on UF's campus, 2.3 miles away, and on occasion stretch my legs by walking through the charming Duckpond neighborhood to downtown, roughly 1.5 miles.
Guest access The camper has a keyless entry. Punch in the four numbers that I send/sent in a separate message and hit LOCK icon / enter button. Same steps to lock it. I'll leave a key in the door and let you know specifics should you need (user error - it happens - dead batteries, etc.)
Washer and dryer: I provide access to my laundry room that has a separate entrance.
Other things to note The place has a diner feel and the booth is an excellent workspace.
The camper has a new gas range with a stovetop and oven. You're welcome to use it. You may need to light the burner(s). Lemme know if you have trouble.
There's no cable but we have wi-fi internet and there are several free broadcast channels.
Again, it's not the place for folks with limited mobility. There is uneven ground and steps to traverse.
