This apartment is promoted as a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom penthouse with pool. What they fail to promote is that there is a major plumbing issue with the bathrooms. One bathroom has a toilet that doesn't flush thoroughly and the other gurgles through the sink all day and night long. When we checked in, there was debris in the master bath toilet, which we reported. We also reported the gurgling in the second bathroom. a few hours later, the toilet backed up and the girgling god worse. Both reported again. Finally after repeated messages to the host, a lovely handyman came to fix the toilet after 5pm. He stayed for about 45 minutes and said he would need to get a part and return. He had to clean out the toilet, with waste in a plastic bag, which he had to carry out of the apt. The bathroom was unusable after this and we could not stay any longer. We used one bathroom for the entire trip. The host communication became spare and non-responsive to the questions we asked, and as a final insult, kept us waiting two weeks for a credit. After re-prompting the host multiple times, we just received this message: This matter is considered closed on our end. Suggest this host be penalized for this inappropriate handling of a major plumbing issue, for a severe lapse in communication, and for stringing a guest along and then declaring the matter closed. Do not recommend and suggest VRBO handle.
