Furthermore, the Vogtland region around Auerbach offers a wide variety of hiking and biking trails. The Pöhl Dam is just a 20-minute drive away and is a paradise for water sports. The dam is also one of the most fish-rich bodies of water in Saxony. During the summer months, there’s plenty of fun to be had at the Plohn Amusement Park and on the summer toboggan run in Mühleiten. A very popular destination is the Ski- und Bikerwelt in Schöneck. The water parks and sauna complexes in Eibensock and Schöneck are also popular.
Winter sports enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy throughout the Vogtland-Czech border region. Countless kilometers of cross-country ski trails wind through the Vogtland forests, and the lifts on the various slopes look forward to your visit. There are plenty of hills where you can go sledding with the little ones.
