We had the most wonderful stay! Such a beautiful little house, description and photos were very accurate. Quiet neighborhood with a spectacular view of Birch Bay. We very much enjoyed the welcome basket. We couldn't have been happier with our time here.

Thank you, McKenna! Glad the cottage was a hit. The late-summer spiders are a Birch Bay specialty we'd rather skip too. We add web clearing around the deck and entries around this time of year, to every turnover, because the porch should belong to the guests.

The home is beautiful and about a block from easy access to the beach and one mile from town. We really enjoyed the large covered porch. Almost everything was fantastic in the home. The only complaint/something to note. The floor of the shower is completely smooth so I slipped getting in. I was fine. No big deal, but remember if you stay here. The house gets 5 stars, the management company deserved 0. I was sent a big contract after booking that was the management's contract. Read it carefully. Then read it again.

Thank you for the thorough review, and we're glad the cottage and that covered porch worked so well for your family. We appreciate you mentioning the shower floor and we've added non-slip treads. On the rental agreement: we know a formal agreement can feel unusual if you've mostly booked homes direct from individual owners. For a professionally managed home it's standard practice, and it's what lets us set out clearly what the homeowner provides and what guests can expect. We send the full document within hours of booking, and our cancellation policy allows a full refund up to five days before arrival, so there's time to read it through and step away if it isn't what a guest expected. Thanks again for staying with us. We would be happy to host you again.
