Perfect for a stay in Halle
I stayed in the Banksy Studio, one of Ko-Living’s several properties in Halle in order to attend the annual Händel Festspiele. The studio was exactly what I wanted: comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and centrally located, within walking distance of all the festival venues and the Handel Haus Museum.
Communication with the owners was easy, before, during and after my stay. The kitchen was equipped well for basic cooking, though I mostly ate in restaurants and reheated leftovers (portions are plentiful in Halle). I particularly liked Schnitzelwirtin and Zum Groben Gotteslieb, both of which are just around the corner.
The bed has a Tempurpedic-type mattress. There is also a large sofa in the bedroom that can serve as a second bed. Electrical outlets were well-placed, and I made good use of the heated towel rack to dry clothing that I washed by hand.
The location is close to a tram stop, which was useful when I took a tram to the train station and another time when I went to a restaurant on the outskirts of town. The tram system is easy to use, thanks to a helpful website of the operator, HAVAG, which has an English-language version.
Highly recommended.
