Parkway Place 4BR Boone Cabin · Long-Range Views · Hot Tub · Game Room
LONG-RANGE VIEWS, FIVE MINUTES FROM THE PARKWAY Parkway Place sits high on a ridge outside Boone, where the mountains stack up in layers and run out toward Grandfather Mountain, Pilot Mountain, and — on a clear day — Tennessee and Virginia. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about five minutes away. Downtown Boone and Blowing Rock are each about ten. It is the rare mountain house that feels genuinely remote and is still close to everything.
THE GREAT ROOM The heart of the house is a soaring great room under a tongue-and-groove wood ceiling, framed by peeled log posts and a two-story wall of windows that fills the space with mountain light. A wood-burning stove sits on a stacked stone hearth. There is room here for the whole group — deep sofas, two recliners, and a wide ottoman for feet and board games.
KITCHEN AND DINING The kitchen runs on granite and stainless: wall oven, cooktop, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, and a center island with a prep sink and stools. Glass-front cabinets and a wrought-iron chandelier keep it warm rather than clinical. The dining table seats six, with French doors opening straight onto the deck.
THE DECK AND THE HOT TUB The main deck is where this house earns its name. Cable railings keep the view unobstructed, an outdoor dining table seats six under a propane heater, and Adirondack chairs and a rail-height bar face west. A few steps down, the hot tub sits on a paver patio ringed by trees — the best seat in the house after a day on the slopes or the trail.
THE GAME ROOM The lower level is built for weather days and late nights: a slate pool table, ping pong, foosball, darts, a card table, a media console stocked with games, and a TV. A glass garage door slides up to open the whole room to the mountain air. It has its own full bathroom, so nobody has to trek upstairs.
WHERE EVERYONE SLEEPS Four sleeping areas across three levels. The main-level primary has a king, French doors to the deck, and an ensuite with heated tile floors, a corner whirlpool tub, and a glass corner shower. Upstairs, two more king bedrooms each open onto their own private balcony. The lower-level bunk room has a queen plus a twin-over-queen bunk — the kids' floor, right off the game room. Three full bathrooms. Sleeps 11.
GOOD TO KNOW Central heat and air. Fast wifi and a laptop-friendly workspace. Washer and dryer on site. Parking for three vehicles. Self check-in by smart lock. AWD or 4WD is required in winter weather — the roads up here are steep. One exterior security camera covers the driveway, front porch, and the basement side door; there are no cameras inside. Streaming apps require your own accounts. This is a non-smoking home and pets are not permitted.

Hi! I'm Nick, and along with my wife Kathi and our three amazing kids, we split time between sunny gulf-coast Florida and the beautiful North Carolina mountains. We moved south from Massachusetts back in 2017, but the Blue Ridge Mountains quickly captured our hearts! There's nothing better than knowing our guests are making memories in a place that means so much to our family. We're hands-on, responsive, and always just a message away to make sure your stay is perfect!

Parkway Place stood out for its rare combination of seclusion and convenience. The home sits on a quiet ridge road southeast of Boone, in a small pocket of wooded mountain homes with real elevation and long-range views — no gate, no through traffic, just trees, birdsong, and ridgelines stacking to the horizon. With the Blue Ridge Parkway only about five minutes away, a dozen scenic overlooks and trailheads are within easy reach for guests who want to explore.
The location itself was a major draw: the home sits almost perfectly between downtown Boone and downtown Blowing Rock, roughly ten minutes to each, making App State football Saturdays, Blowing Rock's shops and restaurants, and grocery runs into Boone effortless. Fall sealed the decision — the elevation means the color arrives early and lingers, and the deck view turns every evening into a show. Regular visits from deer and wild turkey, along with the occasional black bear passing through, round out the feeling of being truly tucked into the mountains.

What makes Parkway Place unique is its position on a quiet ridge road with real elevation — no gate, no through traffic, just wooded lots and long-range views that stack up to the horizon. Its location is nearly unbeatable, sitting almost exactly between downtown Boone and downtown Blowing Rock at roughly ten minutes to each, so App State game days, Blowing Rock’s shops and restaurants, and Boone grocery runs are all effortless. Being about five minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway puts a dozen overlooks and trailheads within easy striking distance, and fall turns the setting into something special, with elevation bringing color in early and holding it while the deck view does the heavy lifting. Frequent visits from deer and wild turkey, plus the occasional black bear passing through, complete the feeling of a true mountain retreat just minutes from town.
