Werfenweng is a typical idyllic village, located in the middle of mountains. You will find a cosy centre with several shops and restaurants and within walking distance a beautiful mountain lake, where you can swim in summer. It's also a lovely area for endless hiking or mountain biking in summer.

In addition, Werfenweng has a small but beautiful ski and snowboard area that is ideal for families with smaller children or beginners. You can easily board the Rosnerköpfl gondola from the village, which takes you straight to the slopes. The more experienced skier or boarder, can go about 30 kilometres away. This is where Ski Amadé is located: the largest ski area in Europe!
