Mayrhofen is a lively village in the Ziller Valley and has that typical Austrian charm. Mayrhofen's après-ski is famous, but also easy to avoid if you prefer peace and quiet after skiing. The village consists of numerous cosy streets with several restaurants and shops. The Penkenbahn and Ahornbahn give you access to the ski slopes. Alternatively, you can take the ski bus to another part of Ski Zillertal 3000.

In summer, hiking to the picturesque Olpererhütte and paragliding over the Zillertal Alps are popular activities. The Penkenbahn Lift provides access to mountain biking and climbing routes, with Penkenberg serving as a hub for thrillseekers
