Fantastic for a smaller group and with kids. Very clean. Was great but a bit warm and not all the windows had screens/full screens so very warm trying to sleep.

Try as we might we could never get the cabin as bright as the pictures, but it was a beautiful place and felt remotewhich was nice. Comfortable and quiet. As folks that live close to the Jersey Shore it was remarkable to hear the quiet and see all the stars.

My wife and our four children were in the area for a wedding weekend. Location was great. The living room and dining room were spacious, the kids loved the bunk beds upstairs, and the decor was fun. The house had a really nice bathroom/shower.

Great family stay

The cabin was secluded and provided a lot of privacy for our family to gather outside for nightly campfires and lots of room to play for kids and pups! Main indoor space allowed us to enjoy meals inside together with the full kitchen and coffee nook area. Glad we had packed kitchen and cooking supplies as what was there was somewhat limited; outdoor grill and fire pit also added to our experience. Lucked out with some cooler summer temps some of our stay- but without air conditioning inside we needed all the fans on the hotter days. Really enjoyed the area and will certainly stay again!

Super G Ski Race Trip

We were in the area for our daughter’s Super G ski camp and race at Gore Mountain so the property was a great location from the ski resort. The cabin is very cozy and clean. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. It was a great fit for our family including our two beloved dogs. Thanks!

Dream family vacation

Perfect place for me and my family. 6 adults, 2 kids, 3 dogs and we still had plenty of room. Had game night @ dining room table, and there was plenty of games to choose from. Spent nights under tons of stars warm by the bonfire. Definitely coming back here for the future trips in the Adirondacks.

Spending a week in this charming cabin was refreshing. It offers a calm, quiet atmosphere, beautifully accented with impressive taxidermy and authentic rustic details. We weren’t looking for a modern vibe, but we didn’t want to be off-grid either—this was the perfect blend of nostalgic charm and modern convenience. With remote work in the mix, reliable Wi-Fi was essential, and it didn’t disappoint. The hosts have truly created a space that feels like stepping back in time—one you won’t want to leave.

An AMAZING experience!

This place has all the big and little things that makes up the Adirondacks. Not only does it give the place the authentic look it is, but also offers a historical background of it’s history. Absolutely amazing. Had everything we needed.

Pictures are a little deceiving. The wood is darker in person than displayed online. With that being said it’s not as bright as the photos show. Other than that the property was clean and we really enjoyed our stay

Wonderful stay

We had a great stay at the cabin, it was clean, well kept and comfortable. Our only complaint would be that there was less than a full roll of toilet paper at the cabin and the screen door did not close all the way by the end of our stay. Looks like the wood may be rotting and the screws are backing out of the trim. Great stay nonetheless.

Thank you for your review, Ron! We are disappointed to hear the home was not up to the high standard of guest satisfaction that we hold ourselves to. We have provided your valuable feedback to our local manager to address. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we have the chance to host you again!

The Bear Lodge was perfect

The Bear Lodge was the perfect home for my families weekend stay in Indian Lake. It was sparkling clean upon checkin, filled with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. It was pin drop quiet and very private for evening fires and star gazing. Beds were very comfortable and warm. The kitchen was fully stocked with all equipment and a nice grill for cooking. The Lodge was very unique with the walls full of interesting trinkets and critters. I highly recommend this stay. Thank you very much to The Bear Lodge and Vacasa for making our weekend getaway the most enjoyable.
