We reported that there was a roof leak in the master bathroom, making the bathroom unusable and the secondary bathroom’s flush valve broken, making that bathroom unusable, we ended up having to leave two days early. Reported the issues to Vrbo, but once the issues were reported we ended up leaving early Wednesday morning losing two days of vacation.

It is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. It was very comfortable and a nice escape from the beach.

Great views, better people!

The Blue Shell is in a perfect location right outside of town and close to the beach. The community here at paradise pointe was very welcoming and kind to me during my stay. Would recommend this beautiful rental if you’re visiting!

Great for families

We had a lovely stay at The Blue Shell. The house is beautiful and clean, and has a great layout for 2 families staying together. We had 4 adults and 3 young kids, and it was more than enough space! The location is close to town and a short drive to beach access. We will definitely consider staying here again, and recommend it for families!

Clean and very responsive customer service

We had a stay with our dogs. The place was great, and we felt very comfortable. I appreciated that there were plenty of towels for us to use for showers and at the beach. The gated fence was a peace of mind so the dogs could roam freely while we grilled outside.

We will be leaving this property early because it is, without a doubt, the most disgusting rental we have ever experienced. What was supposed to be a vacation turned into a complete disaster from the moment we opened the door.The first thing that hit us was the overwhelming smell of pet urine. The carpets in the bedroom were covered in what appeared to be pet urine, and my wife had to take them outside and hose them off. The two chairs were also visibly soiled and appeared to have been urinated on by pets. The living-room carpet was filthy, and the furniture was so disgusting that we went out and purchased sheets just so we could sit on it.There were problems everywhere. The dishwasher is broken, the vacuum cleaner has a broken wheel and does not work, and the dryer barely dries clothes. The Keurig had clearly never been properly cleaned and was clogged with coffee buildup. My wife had to go purchase vinegar just to descale and clean it so we could use it.There were also no local TV stations available, and when we called for assistance, we received no meaningful help.This property was not remotely what we expected, and we are extremely disappointed. We would not recommend this rental to anyone based on our experience. We intend to share our experience with others so they can make an informed decision before booking.If this is the standard of property being offered to your clients, it needs to improve dramatically. We have even nicknamed this place “The Pet Urine Home

Birthday at the Blue Shell

This was a fantastic space for my birthday weekend. The house was nicely laid out. The location is perfectly located with easy access to anything on the island. The neighborhood was well kept and we felt safe walking our dogs after dark.

5 Stars! My family had the perfect Thanksgiving stay here! We had all we needed to make dinners and breakfast. The location is perfect. Close to town but away from the noise of traffic. The layout was great and the space was so clean. It’s so refreshing to stay at a nice place that is what it says it is. Clean cozy and convenient. Will def recommend and stay again!

Blue Shell in a Nut Shell

Everything close. The home is plenty spacious. There is a community pool which was fantastic, too. The home was presented in a very clean manner. Beds were so comfortable, we slept like babies.

Great House - Bring Bug Spray

The house was great, super clean and wonderfully decorated. Floors were not sandy which was a pleasant surprise, as usually there's always sand on the floor of beach properties. The only downside is outside of the management companies control, the neighborhood is alongside a marshy area and has horrible mosquitos, which are very large and you can feel them bite you.

Dog Friendly Nice Sized house

The floor plan is very spacious- nice layout. If you have trouble with stairs or don’t want to let dog out by going down stairs each time, not a good property for you. Under the house is fenced with a grass & nice cool area for pet to play. You have to drive to the beach & not in area easy for golf carts. Master bed was comfortable. Suggest owner get an upgraded shower head. There was mold on vents of AC. The shower had mold too at base of the shower. A dehumidifier probably needs to be bought & attic-vents checked. The bath tub was not clean. They should invest in better sofa at some point & bigger tv in living. Checkout is a hard stop at 10am with no grace time so be sure to get up early. Seemed a bit strict for being at the beach the previous day. Nobody can check in until 4 so seems a bit rigid for a vacation home. Pots & pans were dirty with rust. Bring your own spices. No cleaning supplies at all. Needs better towels. We enjoyed the pool. The area seems safe for walking. Cute neighborhood. It was okay but probably will look for another property.
