The Brennerei 3 apartment was rebuilt by the family over several years. The rooms had not been used since 1976. As a result, the roof was leaking and the old roof truss was in danger of collapsing completely. Everything except the exterior walls was gutted. With the new roof truss and roof, the building has now been preserved for future generations. On the upper floor, we converted the space into a vacation apartment measuring approximately 80 m². The exposed roof truss gives the apartment a special charm. We look forward to your visit.
The property was built around 1830 as a distillery. Schnapps was still distilled there regularly until the 1950s. From around 1958 to 1975, the property housed a poultry farm. From 1975 until 2018, the property stood virtually empty and was left to fall into disrepair. Parts of the roofs had collapsed, and water was seeping through the building all the way down to the basement.
In 2018, our family began restoring the property. The chimney was renovated, two roofs were fitted with new roof trusses, and much more was done. After four years of construction, we have now reached the point where two vacation apartments are complete. The facade shines in new splendor
