Here, you’ll find all the amenities you’d expect from your own home.
You’ll be staying here far away from the tourist hustle and bustle... "Slowing down" is a must here!
Nevertheless, you can set out from here on day trips to nearly all of Florida’s highlights and have fun!

- The entire house is at your disposal, with the exception of one private area. There are two spacious bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with a queen-size bed. Both are equipped with walk-in closets and dressers for your clothes. There is also a safe in the master bedroom.
The bathrooms—one with a tub and shower and direct access from the bedroom, and one with a shower—are equipped with shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, soap, toilet paper, and facial tissues, as well as a hair dryer.
In the laundry room, which has a washer and dryer, you’ll also find an ironing board and an iron. You’ll also find replacements for items such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies in the cabinet here.

The large kitchen with a breakfast bar is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking. There is also plenty of dishes and silverware available. The stove, microwave, dishwasher, and large refrigerator are brand-name appliances with a stainless steel finish. Dishwashing detergent is also provided.
In the dining area, there is a cabinet containing various glassware and serving platters.
In the living room cabinet, you’ll find the Wi-Fi router, a TV, and a selection of books, games, and DVDs.
On the terrace, you’ll find all the necessary nets, poles, and brushes to easily clean the pool of dust and leaves.
In the master bathroom, you’ll find green towels in addition to the blue ones—please use the blue towels exclusively inside the house. You can use the green towels by the pool and at the beach.
There is a retractable clothesline by the pool for drying towels and your swimwear.

There is a parking space in the carport with a covered walkway to the patio entrance and a parking spot in front of the house. Motion-sensor lights illuminate your path to the house. However, it can still be very dark, especially on moonless nights. Please be mindful of uneven surfaces and tripping hazards throughout the property.

—Whether you want to enjoy the tropical garden, swim in the pool, go fishing, take a boat ride, relax at the house bar, or grill at the BBQ area, outdoor living is possible here in almost any weather.
The two huge covered terraces and the tiki hut by the river offer plenty of space.

Whether it’s breakfast by the water, a light snack at the high table, lunch on the “front porch,” a sumptuous dinner on the pool terrace, or an ice-cold sundowner at the house bar.

As mentioned, the house has two large, fully covered terraces (totaling approx. 80 m²).
There are various seating options available.
There’s a large dining table on the “front porch” and another on the pool terrace. You’ll find another table in the tiki hut by the boat dock. Each dining table has 6 chairs. There’s also a high table with three chairs in the BBQ area, which is equipped with a 5-burner gas grill. Enjoy your favorite drinks from our “Florida-style” ice cooler at the super-cool Tiki Hut bar, which has 3 bar stools.
There is one lounge chair by the pool and two lounge chairs in the Tiki Hut, each with cushions.

The house is located in a small suburb near the “Ortona Lock” ship lock, which belongs to the town of Moore Haven but is actually closer to the beautiful little village of La Belle.
Here, far from the hustle and bustle of Florida’s tourist hotspots, you’ll experience the state in a whole new way.
Surrounded by orange groves and cattle pastures, situated right on the Caloosahatchee River and Lake Okeechobee, you’ll be staying where real cowboys still roam.
Nevertheless, you can reach all the shops you need for daily necessities within 10–15 minutes. The nearest Walmart Supercenter is only about 20 minutes away.
The “Ortona Tavern” is less than a 5-minute walk away—or you can reach it by water, paddling a canoe—and invites you to enjoy homemade food, ice-cold beer, karaoke, and live music.
You’ll find more restaurants, tiki bars, and even a brewery in La Belle, among other places.

It takes 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to Miami, and 5 hours and 15 minutes to reach Key West.

The house is well sheltered from the sun in the shade of tall oak trees.
These trees provide the best possible protection even during storms, wind, and severe weather. But the location itself—right in the middle of Florida—also offers the best protection against tropical storms and, of course, hurricanes. In addition, there is optimal protection from the water side against, for example, flooding, since this section of the river is sealed off in both directions toward the ocean by locks. This is one of the reasons why we chose this property.
