Lovely spot and great getaway from the city! Rustic, eclectic vybe that's animal.friendly with all the amenities you need. Bring slippers as there's a no shoe rule in the house. Particularly enjoyed the grounds and all the opportunities to explore nature in the vicinity. Thank you Lisa

Mountain getaway

This quaint cabin made a great place for a quiet getaway. The 5 minute ride to the Appalachian Mountain trail made for a fun adventure. Lisa made sure all our needs were met! She is a premier host whether VRBO says it or not.

Thank you Andres! It was a pleasure hosting you. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. To be clear on your comment and hence my return response I have to say I’m very disappointed with the service lately this platform is providing. I’ve maintained my premier host statues for over 10 years until now. There have been changes implemented on this platform and not by myself that are misleading and incorrect. One is this AI computer generated updates that aren’t accurate! My location and area attractions aren’t accurate and definitely not appealing to any travelers reading this noted description of my property. I’ve been requesting the correct information to be added including all the area’s dining, activities, exploring and what not to be changed and noted back to the original description as I had personally selected prior to AI automatically making these changes that again are misleading, false and inaccurate. I’ve been repeatedly told changes cannot be made at this time due to the new SYSTEM ERROR! This is unacceptable and has caused me to have a tremendous decrease in reservations through this platform therefore why I currently lost my premier host status for bookings metrics. For all my future guests reading this I’m sorry I had to air this information this way… hopefully after reading this you’ll have a better understanding of why Burger King is noted as a recommended restaurant and animal watching is noted as something to do! Perfect Fall Stay

My mother and daughter and I stayed here for a weekend in late October, and it was just beautiful. The setting is private and peaceful, and the home is darling. Lisa was the perfect host and was so communicative and helpful. We would absolutely stay again!

Great autumn stay

This is a lovely spot, one that has a wonderful atmosphere, cozy, and in a wooded area among farmland, the Appalachian Trail, and local sites (taverns, outdoor festivals, breweries/wineries). Dog-friendly, too, which is a huge plus. Looking forward to another visit.

Perfect Getaway

Dog Friendly, Just off the Appalacian Trail, easy to walk out the door for a hike to the nearby pond. Cozy, Clean, overall just an easy place to stay. Claw foot bathtub and the Firepit are really great amenities.

4 Day Weekend

We were looking for a 4 day weekend of hiking and the place was perfect. Its location was close to hiking trails and the location provided pure relaxation. Lisa was easy to work with and made sure we had the perfect weekend.

Just Charming!

A very cute house, perfect for a weekend retreat and some skiing and snowshoeing. Beautiful with all the snow this year, and the owner is a delight to deal with. Hope to visit again for some hiking!

Thank you so much! If you think the property is beautiful now with the snow in the winter you will love it even more in the warmer months. Spring flowers are like a rebirth adding life to the fields. We enjoy the Spring Flower and Garden Show every year at the NJ State Fair Grounds. Summer is so much fun with so much to do.... and in the fall the mountain views of the fall foliage is incredible. I'm looking forward to your return for some hiking as I'm sure you will enjoy having the Appalachian Trail right in the back yard. Lisa

Clean, quaint, isolated house

If you’re looking for a clean, quaint house surrounded by trees, this would be a good pick. I imagine it’s especially cozy in the winter. Fire pit is a nice attraction for cool nights.

Great stay at lovely home

We had an outstanding stay at this house. It’s located near many hiking trails and we were able to take full advantage of that. The house was clean, well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed spending the mornings in the patio area. Although we were only there a few days there are many things to do in the area and the host has a book/folder with dozens of local brochures to help keep you find your preferred activities. Overall, just a great stay.

We had a very nice stay at Lisa’s cabin. She decorated the whole place for the holidays and thought of everything including reindeer bed sheets. Luckily the weather warmed up and made it great for traveling!

Warm, welcoming and Wonderful!!

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful stay with our dog, Rosie. The cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It was close to several State Parks and Forests, not to mention the Appalachian Trail for hiking. Lisa was very communicative, and we really appreciated her telling us about an evening Car Show at a nearby farm that was a dog-friendly event. We had a great time at the Car Show and a very relaxing getaway. Thank you!!

Tranquil and cozy

Lisa was a fabulous host who checked in just enough. The cabin is cozy and exactly like pictures. We spent a lot of time outside on the patio and exploring the wealth of local trails and outdoor activities. You feel very secluded yet are so close to anything you need like 13 minutes to a full grocery store!

Fantastic!

Nice relaxing

Had a nice relaxing time at this place on Christmas with my family and friends. Owner Lisa received us when we arrived and has taken us in and around the house. Gave us some safety instructions, handed us papers of various nearby places to visit. Overall we had a great time at this home. Thanks Lisa.

Peaceful, great location & well stocked

We couldn’t of asked for anything more-a lovely, peaceful setting, any amenities you could think of-including a little kids bath toys, spices, flash lights, bug spray, games, washer & dryer etc. Communication with the owner was easy and she was very informative. House was spotless & the grounds beautiful. You can get away from it all while still having tons to do with a short drive. One note-steps to the bedrooms are steep & open & bathroom is in the first floor. We will definitely return to this property!

Adorable & Cozy pets loved it too! 5 month stay

During our home restoration we were so happy to find this listing that allowed pets. We stayed for 5 months thanks to our insurance company. Little did we know that this little gem had an owner that was caring, loving, available and just an overall fantastic person. I highly recommend this property for people looking to get away or if being relocated by your insurance company and don’t want to have to be without your fur babies. We loved it ❤️

I live on a small farm nearby with several goats, horses and chickens. Although I am less than a 10 min drive from the rental property I feel as if I'm on vacation whenever I'm there visiting even when there to work! There is such a calming serene feeling one experiences when there.
