Vacation at Gut Neuhof
Located between the Oste and Elbe rivers, the idyllic and relaxing village of Oederquart lies in the beautiful Kehdinger Land, a scenic region rich in natural beauty.
The vacation rental, furnished in an eclectic style, is located on a large property right next to the manor house, in one of the barns of the former apple farm. It serves as a starting point for many excursions and bike tours, such as the Wingst forest area with its play and climbing park, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, and forest zoo; Krautsand with its beautiful sandy beach; the Krummendeich natural outdoor pool; the ferry to Schleswig-Holstein; the Baljer Lighthouse, the suspension ferry, the Natureum, Otterndorf with its old town, saltwater spa, and a play and fun barn, the water ski facility in Neuhaus, and much more. There are opportunities to explore the Elbe, Oste, and Medem rivers on sightseeing boats or to experience the moor aboard the Moorkieker.
The Alte Land, Stade, Hamburg, Cuxhaven (ferry to Heligoland), and Bremerhaven are other interesting destinations.
Shopping and cafes can be found in the nearby towns of Freiburg and Wischhafen. There is a restaurant in the town center.
Gut-Neuhof:
The 170-square-meter apartment, with its untreated wooden ceilings and beams, is located in a quiet, secluded, stand-alone location in the largest barn of the farmstead, offering views of the surrounding fields and featuring a separate entrance. From the spacious entryway on the first floor, a staircase leads up to the open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area on the first floor.
From the adjacent large hallway, you can access the two bedrooms:
A large bedroom with a double bed (1.80 m. x 2.00 m) and a TV, and a smaller bedroom with a double bed (1.40 m x 2.00 m) and a window-like, lockable opening to the living area. Due to the apartment’s location in the barn, there is no natural light in the larger bedroom, but both rooms have windows overlooking the stable building for ventilation.
Across from the bedrooms are the bathrooms: one with a large shower and toilet, the other with a bathtub and toilet.
In the garden, you’ll find several seating areas to relax in, a beach chair, a hammock, a grill, and plenty of space for fun and games.
During the colder months, a wood-burning stove creates a cozy atmosphere, and for entertainment, there are books, games, and a foosball table.
For safety reasons, both inside the apartment and on the property—such as an unsecured staircase leading to the living area, water-filled ditches along the property lines, and poisonous plants in the garden—it is recommended that children be at least 6 years old.
The free-range chickens, rooster, and cats add to the vacation home’s village-like character, but they are also the reason dogs must remain on a leash on the property.
There is ample covered parking with a Wall-Box and storage space for your bicycles right next to the house.
We look forward to welcoming you for a relaxing vacation with us.
