The island town of Malchow, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Mecklenburg Lake District,” is located between Lake Plau and Lake Müritz, right on the shores of Lake Malchow and Lake Flee. Malchow is a small, romantic, and idyllic town with a population of about 6,500. The historic town center is situated on a small island, where you’ll also find the half-timbered town hall. Experience cultural and culinary highlights. Our museums, artists, the ice rink, and various local venues look forward to your visit. The surrounding area also offers many interesting places to visit. For example, the Müritz National Park is about 26 km away, the Bärenwald is 15 km away, and the Affenwald, with its summer toboggan run, is just 4 km away.
