The house was very spacious, and had even more beds than was advertised, which was a nice bonus. The yard was great for the kids to play and we all enjoyed s'mores in the little fire pit by the lake. It is lake front, with an easy slope to access the lake. I do recommend water shoes because, like most of the areas we saw at this lake, it was very rocky. The house had tons of room and we never felt crowded. The kids could play in the basement and the adults could relax upstairs, while still easily monitoring the kids. We did have a few issues, but the owner/manager was very easy to reach and responded quickly. She was a pleasure to work with.
It seems like they have been updating the house--it had new large TVs and a large comfy couch. It still needs a little TLC, but I'm guessing that the owners are working on it based on some of the updates they had obviously done. It could use a deep clean--like where you empty cabinets & drawers, wipe them down inside and out. It could also use a revamp of towels and a new microwave and oven upstairs, but I suspect the owners may have that in the works based on the other updates like new refrigerator, furniture and TVs.
Some minor suggestions are: It would be nice to have some lake toys available for renters. We brought a huge floating island that we actually left in the garage for future renters because we couldn't fit it back in the car.
It would be nice to have some chairs that could be used down by the lake and fire. There were some folding chairs in the garage, but they don't work well on grass and they are not comfy to lounge in.
Access to a dock would be a huge plus. We rented jet skis and a boat, and having access to a dock would have made a world of difference.
All in all, it is a great house and yard. We had a great time.
