This condo has a great view! 3 bedrooms - a huge king , a small king and a double/bunk room. The living/ dining area is also large and surrounded by windows, with a generous wrap-around deck. A bar area has (surprisingly) a wine refrigerator and an ice maker.
The furniture is nice enough, and we tried to respect that, but we found no coasters (other than worn out, ineffective thin cardboard squares from a bar). Now we know why others had left ring marks from glasses on the wood furniture. The kitchen has plenty of counter space for cooking, lots of cabinet space for food you bring, and a full set of cookware.
The condo has a feel of tired neglect, with a bare minimum of care given to keeping it fresh and welcoming. The bedspreads, towels, potholders etc are sad and worn. The bathrooms for the second king and the third bath are old and unrenovated. The kitchen has mismatched bits of dishes and glasses, with a very cheap set of plastic utensils for cooking and serving (spatula, tongs, large spoon etc). The windows were cleaned poorly - one could see the circular wipe marks, which didn't add to our enjoyment of the view.
The condo had only salt and pepper, so bring any other spices or foods you might need.
The condo is located convenient to the few restaurants on the island that are open for dinner, and to Skinners seafood market. There are no grocery stores on the island. Skinners sells great fresh local seafood, seafood spices, and some prepared items such as gumbo and crab cakes. They will also steam your seafood for you to pick up and take out.
One can find a gas station market selling beer, sodas, candy and chips, maybe even hot dogs and buns, but no real food for a meal, so you'll need to take your own food for any meals not eaten out.
There are a very few restaurants open for dinner, so we went prepared and were happy we did, although the kitchen in the condo could have been better equipped.
Be aware that while the condo building sits on the beach, it is at least a hundred yard walk to the beach. Not an issue for us, but don't plan to run back and forth!
There is no house manual; just directions left by the property management co in the mailbox about how to check out. We discovered a recycling bin in the laundry room when we decided to do a load of laundry.
We won't be back.
