Welcome to Holiday Apartment Lichtblick, a lovingly furnished apartment on the upper floor of a more than 100-year-old half-timbered country house in the heart of Hattorf am Harz.

Offering around 70 m² (750 sq ft) of living space, the apartment comfortably accommodates 1 to 4 guests. Bright, sun-filled rooms, original timber framing and the unique character of this historic home create a warm and relaxing atmosphere where you can truly feel at home.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll notice the charm of this traditional country house. The original oak staircase, shaped by generations of use, has been carefully preserved to retain its authentic character and tells a story of more than a century of local history.

A peaceful location in the centre of the village

Holiday Apartment Lichtblick is quietly located in the centre of Hattorf am Harz and is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful Harz Mountains. Scenic hiking and cycling trails begin almost right outside the front door.

Within a few minutes’ walk you will find the train station, a REWE supermarket, bakery, banks, post office, doctors, a bowling centre with a beer garden, the public outdoor swimming pool and several other shops.

Free parking is available directly in front of the house, and the railway station is only a 6-minute walk away, making the apartment easy to reach even without a car.

The apartment

The cosy living room invites you to relax after a day of exploring. A high-quality sofa bed with a full-size mattress (160 × 200 cm) comfortably sleeps two additional guests. Free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a radio with CD player, books and board games provide entertainment, while comfortable reading chairs in both the living room and bedroom offer quiet places to unwind.

The open-plan kitchen combines traditional charm with modern convenience. The historic wood-burning stove creates a unique atmosphere, while the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle and toaster.

The bedroom features a comfortable double bed (160 × 200 cm) and offers direct access to the newly renovated bathroom with a spacious rainfall shower and natural daylight. A washing machine is available in the adjoining utility room.

Garden and pets

Enjoy the peaceful garden at the front of the house or relax in the sheltered courtyard at the back, both offering comfortable outdoor seating.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. We simply ask our guests to respect the house rules and help us keep the apartment in excellent condition.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the apartment or the house. Ashtrays are provided outdoors.

All duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic and contain no feathers. Please note that the apartment is located on the upper floor and is accessible only via the original staircase, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
