People can't stop talking about the Kals-Matrei ski region. Kals-Matrei is now one of the most sought-after ski destinations. But don't worry, there's still plenty of room on the slopes for carving.
The quaint town centre is characterised by a number of beautifully painted houses and you can enjoy a constant view of the Großglockner.

A big advantage of the Großglockner Kals-Matrei ski area is that it is child-friendly. Children up to the age of 6 travel for free and up to the age of 18 pay only half the price of admission. This new arrival on the ski resort scene offers a whopping 110 km of slopes and plenty of space for carving. A stop at the gourmet restaurant Adlerlounge, which has 13 Gault Millau points at 2,621 m above sea level, is of course a must after a perfect round of skiing starting in Matrei.
In addition, Matrei and Kals am Großglockner are considered a paradise for touring and backcountry skiers
