1950年代半ばに建てられたこのコテージは、塗装済みの木製の床、アンティークの家具、自給自足のキッチンなど、古きよきものと新しいものの最高のものを作成するためにアップグレードおよび装飾されています。 コテージには2つのベッドルームがあります（1つはクイーン、もう1つはダブル）。折りたたみ式のソファが置かれた広々としたリビングルーム。

バックデッキは、BBQでディナーを準備するときに食前酒を飲むのに最適な場所です。フロントデッキに移動して、ケッチハーバーの雄大な美しさを楽しむこともできます。

コテージは、成熟した木、野生の花、古い岩壁でいっぱいです。

It was everything we expected, a cozey cottage. Perfect for our little stay and close to family we were visiting. Tracey had the cottage ready for our arrival and we enjoyed our stay. Next time we will leave the teenagers at home and stay longer.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely community

We felt at home from before we arrived. Host was wonderful to communicate with, and the cottage was very inviting. They even had toys and things for the kids. We loved being steps from the wharf and a close walk to the park. Neighbours were friendly and we felt very welcomed and safe during our stay!

Just outside Halifax

Well kept cottage with sea view. Well equipped, very comfortable beds. This was mid trip for 3 nights, so we skipped Halifax and stayed here as we had been to Halifax before. Tracy contacted us before our arrival and filled us in on the area and what we needed to know. Wonderful three day stay.

Delightful Cottage

We had a wonderful long weekend at Cedar Cottage, which was comfortable with lots of ammenities of home. Host was excellent and gracious. Location was quiet with access to lots of hikes and beaches. Highly recommend!

Enchanting Cottage

Located on beautiful land overlooking Ketch Harbour. Cottage is small but enchanting. Clean and well appointed, it is very peaceful. It has 2 decks and an excellent gas grill. It’s tastefully decorated and charming. Tracey O’Brien is a wonderful host, engaging and readily available. A wonderful place to have a relaxing vacation!

Unforgettable trip to Ketch Harbour!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Right from booking up until the day we checked-out, Tracy was extremely accommodating, helpful, and very kind! Arriving and checking into the cottage was simple, and we were blown away by all the welcoming little details when we arrived (flowers, decor, radio on, water and other goodies in the fridge). The cottage was stunning and we felt right at home instantly. The area around the cottage was also beautiful and was in a lovely community. Tracy was only a text away and was very easy to communicate with. If we needed anything, she was there to help - she truly cared to make sure we had the best experience possible. Can absolutely say this is the best rental experience I’ve had! It’s obvious the cottage is well loved and looked after by its owners and you will love it too. I can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful stay!

So many good thing to say! Cottage was exactly as described, owner is lovely and easy to communicate with. The layout was perfect for our needs, it was exceptionally clean and the owner really has thought of everything you could need. We loved breakfasts on the deck with ocean view and the private driveway and yard. Convenient location for all our day trips into the city, or to the beach for swimming and surfing. Highly recommended!

Charming cottage in small hamlet

We loved the cottage, so comfortable and well-equipped with beautiful surrounding property and views. The bedrooms were well separated, which provides privacy in a small space. It looks just like the photos! The owner is wonderful and there were thoughtful touches like a pot of fresh basil.I

A little harbour gem!

Cedar Cottage is straight out of a summertime novel. Everything was perfect, right from the warm welcome of the patio lanterns to the spectacular private hilltop view of charming Ketch Harbour and the ocean beyond. This quaint little cottage is within minutes of gorgeous Crystal Crescent Beach and endless trails for hiking or biking. There’s even a pretty little playground just down the road. It’s an easy picturesque drive into Halifax and all that the magnificent South Shore has to offer. We stayed here for May and June with our dog and two cats while quarantining and shopping for a property. Tracy is an exceptional host who goes out of her way to make sure that you feel at home…she is also an amazingly talented baker, who loves to share...bonus points! We enjoyed everything about our stay in Ketch Harbour. Highly recommend! 5 STARS!

Beautiful spot on the harbor!

The property was prefect for our needs! It has a lovely view, is adorably decorated, clearly with care, is very well appointed and is EXTREMELY clean. The property owner is local and was very easy to talk to and made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend. The new landscaping is just lovely!!

Great location, cozy cottage and fantastic owners

A wonderful cottage with an ocean view a short distance from Halifax. A great location from which we enjoyed many day trips - Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, Wolfville and of course to Halifax. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The owners were there to great us when we arrived and regularly checked in to see if we needed anything and provided some great local travel advice.

Amazing view!

We enjoyed our stay, the views from the front porch are amazing. We spent a good deal of our time watching the tides rise and fall over the course of the day. The house had all that we needed - the kitchen is especially set up with all the cooking equipment a family needs to prepare meals. Tony and Cheryl have made this place feel extremely welcoming. Although the house is on the main road of the village, there is very little traffic so was never an issue. There is great swimming off the community wharf which is directly across the road. Also, if you have young kids, there is an amazing community playground a 5 min walk away. If you are beach people, would recommend the 10 min drive to Crystal Crescent Beach - beautiful views anytime of the year!

Great summer vacation!

This was our fifth time staying at the cottage and we keep coming back for a reason. The proximity to Crystal Crecent beach make it perfect for our young children and the cottage itself is always kept impeccably clean and welcoming. We recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, affordable get away on the coast.

Heaven!

We love this cottage and Ketch Harbour and have been coming for years. Tracy has updated this cottage and you couldn't ask for more. She has thought of everything that you might possibly need, just bring your clothes! We immediately booked for next year as well! Comfortable, quiet, close to Halifax, beaches and trails. I almost didn't write a review because I selfishly want to keep it available for myself :) Book it, you won't regret it (and I'm pretty demanding of my vacation spots!).

South Shore gem!!

Our stay in Ketch Harbor here was terrific. What a quaint comfortable and well equipped cottage. Pretty well anything you could think of(and) that you might require is there. Great views, two decks and a short distance to Crystal Crescent Beach, or Halifax in the other direction.

A Great Getaway

It's one of the best vacation decisions I have ever made. Renting Tracy's cottage was Fantastic in every aspect. The cottage is comfortable, very clean and cozy. You breathed a big sigh of relief coming back to it each afternoon after a busy day of sightseeing or hiking, or just lying on the beach. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Thoughtful and welcoming...what more could you want? I would highly recommend renting this cottage to anyone looking for a non-stop picturesque view of the Harbour with great hospitality and no hustle and bustle of city/hotel type of accommodation. Beach nearby, walking trails nearby, city of Halifax nearby...great hostess! Tracy made this vacation very special for my entire family.

A perfect family vacation rental

This last summer was our fourth time staying at Ketch Habor and that alone should say everything. A vacation is about taking a break and not having to worry about the small things and Tracy (the owner of the cedar cottage) makes sure that this is possible, there is nothing too big or too small that she wont take the time to get right. The cottage is small an unpretentious and is just right for our family of four, it is immaculately clean and well taken care of as well as being under 10 mins (by car) from one of the best beaches in Canada. I highly recommend taking the time to get to know this wonderful part of Canada and the cedar cottage is the perfect place to do so.

Just like coming home.

It was so nice looking out at the harbour and occasionally seeing, off in the distance, ships going by. Renting the cabin was great because once we were settled in we had a place to make our own meals and sit out on the deck sipping on drinks. The quality of the dishes and cooking utensils was awesome. It was very comfy and when returning from a day of touring it was like coming home. Nice windows to open after warm day to let the ocean breeze cool the house. Lots of natural lighting and a private setting. Plenty of room for two couples.

GREAT VACATION

This cottage is very quaint and welcoming. The cottage property is beautiful and the community of Ketch Harbor is picturesque and people are very friendly. The owner of this property is very nice and extremely accommodating. My wife and two young children had a fabulous and relaxing stay. The beach is very close to the cottage and it is a quick drive to the city. We will be back!

Ketch Harbor Cottage

This cottage was perfect for the three of us to enjoy our daily adventures around the Halifax area. We were so pleased to find it just as the pictures had depicted! The deck was lovely in the morning while enjoying our coffee. The cottage has many convenient updates, but still has the charm of a cottage in the cove. We found the sleeping arrangements very comfortable, with high quality linens as well as plenty of fluffy towels for the bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of matching glassware, dishes and cookware so that we had everything we needed. The location of the cottage was convenient to a shopping center, beer store and the main highway that took us to many of our daily jaunts through the area. It was a great introduction to our first visit to Nova Scotia.

A little slice of heaven by the sea

I could not believe the welcoming scene as we pulled into the driveway and spotted this cute little cottage. With its welcoming deck and beautiful flower beds and spacious greenery it was very romantic. After being on the road for 16 hours and opening the door to the pristine cleanliness of the cottage and was taken back by the size. The bedrooms were very big and welcoming. The cottage was very bright and airy. The owner welcomed my husband and myself with a bright cherry smile and was so friendly. When she said bring nothing but ourselves that is what she meant. The cottage was stocked with everything one needs. Just like living at home. The bathroom was well stocked with towels, toiletries, etc. The shower was big and bright. The kitchen was well stocked with everything from flour, sugar,spices, etc. Every cooking utensil she had, even a pizza cutter. The furniture was very comfortable and inviting. With the sea breezes blowing in the windows it makes for a great night sleep. I found it to be so close to all the tourist attractions. It is only a 20 minute drive to downtown, close to grocery and liquor stores. Peggy's cove is only an hour away. We had such a great time. We will be booking again for next summer. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The price was a bonus.

A little piece of heaven with an ocean view

Just had a wonderfully relaxing week in the Yellow cottage by the sea with my husband and two furry kids (Dobermann and Rottweiler). We were greeted by the cheerful cottage nestled on a hill and the several garden areas were neatly kept and very pretty. The front deck had chairs and a BBQ ready to be used. We went inside and it was just lovely, country cosy yet bright and airy at the same time. All the furnishings were very cute and chic. There was a very descriptive and helpful typed greeting from the host Tracy and also a rather nice bottle of wine in the fridge for us. The greeting note had lots of useful information about the cottage and surrounding areas for things to see, do, eat and drink. The rear of the cottage had the wonderful deck overlooking Ketch harbour, lots of space and table, chairs and umbrella. Many hours spent there gazing out to sea, the dogs loved it!! The kitchen was very well equipped with excellent quality crockery, cutlery and utensils. Fridge-freezer big and clean and oven was spot on with the temperatures, nothing under or overcooked. Shower room well equipped with towels and toiletries, everything we needed. Great selection of books to read, DVD`s to watch, CD`s to listen to and board games to play. Even candles and a lighter. Tracy thought of everything including a fan. Two good sized bedrooms, comfy beds, lots of bedding. All the windows and doors have screens, so when opened a lovely breeze keeps the heat at bay. I shall say no more, it is a far far better thing you do if you just book yourself a trip to Yellow Cottage and enjoy it all for yourself :-)
