Zinnowitz Baltic Sea Resort - A vacation for the senses

The 703-year-old town of Zinnowitz, with its 160-year history as a seaside resort, is one of the most beautiful seaside resorts on the island of Usedom. At the beginning of the 20th century, hotels and guesthouses with impressive architecture were built, which, together with the spacious promenade, create a unique scene.

Located between the Baltic Sea and the Achterwasser, at one of Usedom’s narrowest points, the town is surrounded by beech, oak, and coniferous forests. The white, gently sloping sandy beach is just as inviting for relaxation as the Bernsteintherme with its 850-square-meter seawater swimming area or a boat trip on the Baltic Sea or the Achterwasser.

Zinnowitz is located in the north of Usedom at the northern end of a headland about one to two kilometers wide between the Achterwasser and the Pommerscher Bay, has 3,777 residents, and enjoys 1,917 hours of sunshine annually.

The island of Usedom is Germany’s second-largest island, with an area of 445 square kilometers. The 42-kilometer outer coastline features a white, fine-sand beach, and since 2000, the island has been connected to the mainland by rail via the Wolgast Bridge.
