Beautiful stay in Loches

Great location and lovely place to stay. Apartment was fully equipped including kitchen utensils for cooking anything we wanted. Maryse and Thiery were very welcoming. The garden was beautiful to sit in and we had everything we needed for an extended stay. We recommend this place.

Loches is a great destination to explore and enjoy the Loire region. Easy access by train from Paris or CDG. The town is both medieval ( Francois 1 ) and modern with all amenities. This property is perfect for single traveller and families. Maryse and Thierry are fantastic hosts and made my stay an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended !

This was a fabulous apartment with a beautiful garden to enjoy. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. Our host was great and worked with us to communicate in both English and French. Would be glad to rent again it was so nice

Beautiful apartment 400 metres from Loches centre.

Lovely place, we felt at home right away. Well equipped place with lovely comfy beds. We wanted for nothing. Straight into Loches or perfectly placed for exploring château in the area. Definitely would come back. Many thanks for letting us stay with you.

Great find!

Lovely apartment right by the historic centre. Maryse and her daughter Candice were very helpful and accommodating e.g we were travelling with 2 small children and they provided baby bath, cot and high chair etc. Gorgeous garden we were also able to use. Loches is a very pretty town with a great market. Made a nice stopover from Ile de Re to Burgundy. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful old town house in Loches.

This first floor appartment of an old town house near the centre of Loches has lovely views over the river. Rooms are spacious, well decorated and furnished. The hosts, Masryse and Thierry, were very welcoming, helpful with advice on where to eat out and places to visit. A large selection of tourist information was available. Sitting in the garden in the evening with a glass of wine was quite magical.

The first floor apartment is perfect for a stay in Loches. The hosts are wonderful and provided us with cold beer within 15 minutes of our arrival. The accommodation is prefect for 4 people, a modern well equipped kitchen (with manuals in English), great views of the garden and town. Next to the river and I was lucky enough to see a kingfisher. Very close to the town with restaurants, bars, shops, old buildings and a great location for touring the Loire Valley.

Magnifique!

This a wonderful apartment! It is spacious and very well appointed. It literally has everything needed for a short, or long, stay. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean and well cared for. The view to the back of the apartment is lovely and it is a short minute walk to the park and two minutes to the walled entrance to vieux Loches! Maryse and Thierry are the absolute best hosts. They are friendly, helpful, and attentive to every need. This truly is the perfect place to stay!

Beautiful house & garden in a beautiful town

The 2-bed apartment was spacious, very clean, great location (4mi . walk into the quiet-ish pedestrian zone with lovely shops, bars/restaurants). The kitchen is big & has everything for cooking, and the sharp knives (missing in every place we’ve ever stayed) were much appreciated. Strong historic links with Scotland and twinned with St Andrews, Fife. The owners are very welcoming & great hosts. We had a few relaxing lunches in their wonderful garden in the sun right at the river Indre and a nature reserve across it. We very highly recommend this accommodation and would return w/out hesitation.

Wonderful! Perfect Location,

We can't say enough good things about this apartment and Maryse. The apartment looks exactly as shown in photos, and is very comfy with updated kitchen and bathroom, large living room, and quiet. The stairs are not steep and easily navigated. The apartment is a 3 minute walk to the downtown area where you will find everything you could possibly want. Loches is a wonderful village. Small enough to be completely walk able yet sophisticated in restaurants and shops. The apartment was so incredibly comfortable and well supplied. We felt relaxed and at home and Maryse was very kind and helpful. We would come back to Loches and to this apartment again. Merci, Maryse.

Fantastic apartment, perfect location, wonderful hosts!

My husband and I spent 9 delightful weeks at Maryse & Thierry’s apartment in Loches. We were welcomed with bowls of fresh tomatoes and homemade jams- straight from their garden. The quiet apartment is spacious and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. It’s exactly as pictured! We loved the delightful views of the river and the chateau. The location can’t be beat, being steps away from the wonderful village. Make sure to visit market days on Wednesday and Saturday! Fresh produce, dairy, fish,and fowl are readily available. On days when we didn’t feel like cooking we’d walk to town and dine in one of the many fine restaurants. We chose Loches as it is well situated for day trips throughout the Loire region. (We’re suckers for chateaus and vineyards) We rented cars for a portion of our time there (free parking is available at the train station or across the street at the hospital.) and took advantage of the convenient SNCF railway just down the street. Tours is the closest big town around and we were able to avoid CDG, instead flew to Ireland,England, and Portugal from the small airport in Tours! We will surely return to Loches, and we will definitely stay at this fantastic apartment.

A Real Pleasure

We arrived to find a beautiful, country style house set in wonderful surroundings and backing onto the river. The location is well placed fo all amenities and for exploring the incredible Loire Valley region. Maryse was a charming and delightful host who met us and showed us where to park - which was in the Hospital grounds opposite the house; literally, yards away. Inside, Maryse showed us our suite which was enormous and perfect in every way. There was a huge living room with massive windows that allowed light to stream in and looked out onto the garden at the back and all the countryside. Maryse said we were free to use the garden at any time, if we wished. The kitchen was modern, spotlessly clean and newly fitted . Lots of room to store your essentials, a breakfast bar, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher microwave and plenty of utensils. Also a holiday essential - a washing machine. Beyond that was the bedroom which again, was lovely and large. It contained a superb, double bed and a wardrobe. The bed faced the wonderful back windows which again were open and letting in the sunlight and sounds of birds and the gently flowing river below. There are shutters on all the windows for closing at night. There was a second bedroom with twin beds and a superbly fitted out bathroom with shower and heated towel rail. it was a little on the small side but we had no issues as we could use the adjacent little bedroom to get changed in. The house is very close to the town centre; I am talking about 5 minutes away. The town is a medieval, traffic free and with delightful places to eat and drink outside, as always in France. We loved exploring the old town and buildings in this picturesque setting. In my opinion, it is as lovely as Sarlat but without the crowds. There is the most adorable public park between the town and the house and my one regret is that we only had time to visit it on the last evening. Just one or two niggles came to light: there was no plug for the bathroom basin so it could not hold water and there was quite a hole where the plug should be, only one bedside table and lamp. Also, you will need to supply your own washing up/laundry materials but the supermarket is very closely situated. This is a wonderful, highly recommended location which I would love to visit again.

Un relais idéal pour les visites de châteaux

Tout d abord nous avons obtenu tous les renseignements avant notre départ, Maryse est toujours à notre écoute et très disponible. Un couple d’une grande gentillesse toujours prêt à nous aider et à nous faire plaisir. Nous avons passé de sympathiques vacances dans cette demeure fleurie, jolie et tellement agréable à vivre. L’appartement est propre, bien entretenu tout y est et il est proche du centre ville de Loches. Nos hôtes nous ont conseillé sur les balades et les endroits sympathiques. Nous recommandons cette hébergement tout d abord pour sa qualité et surtout pour l’accueil exceptionnel de Maryse et Son mari, c est un vrai coup de cœur.
