- The holiday home (F***DTV classification until May 2027) is a charming, comfortable, well and attractively furnished and very cosy pointed roof house with a floor area of > 70 sqm, in a quiet residential complex on the edge of Lichtenberg in the Franconian Forest. A certified network of hiking trails and the bathing lake "both on the doorstep" offer perfect conditions for sports enthusiasts, nature lovers and those seeking relaxation (asphalt pump track from June 2025).
- The house and garden with garden shed in a very quiet residential area (no holiday park) are well maintained. The south-facing terrace and a small conservatory with rattan furniture and compact music system lead to a spacious living/dining area with upholstered seating area and rustic dining area and satellite TV. A very well-equipped, small kitchenette, hallway with wardrobe and a shower room/WC are adjacent. A Samba staircase (= narrow room-saving staircase) leads to the upper area with two bedrooms and wall cupboards for the travelling wardrobe. A child safety lock and banisters are provided. One bedroom has two single beds (80 x 190 cm). In the 2nd bedroom there is a double bed (180 x 190 cm). However, the beds can also be converted into two single beds. There is an additional option for a cot or reading area with lounge chair. An additional emergency bed (70 x 190 cm) is available. The tilting windows in the bedrooms have insect screens.
- The house is heated electrically. A mobile air cooler and a fan are available for hot days.
- There is a camping washing machine for small laundry and a towel warmer in the bathroom. If necessary, you can wash here at up to 40 degrees, drying facilities in the garden shed.
- Internet and WLAN are available in the house. Smoke detectors in all rooms.
The property (391 square metres) is well maintained. Flowers and native plants complete the picture and at the same time offer enough space for relaxing or for outdoor activities with existing games for the whole family. The property is not fenced. Garden furniture for the south-facing terrace (loungers, garden swing, parasols, etc.) and a barbecue/patio oven are available. A small climbing frame invites children up to 8 years to physical activities.
The car park is located close to the house in a communal car park.
The bathing lake / toboggan slope (sledges available) are within walking distance of the Frankenwaldsee. The sandy beach with sun awning and the water playground with swings is a real play paradise. Older children can also play volleyball, basketball or table tennis. The easily accessible circular path around the bathing lake also offers prams great opportunities to get out and about in the fresh air. The spacious sunbathing lawn offers plenty of space to linger.
The lake stage attracts many visitors with various events in summer.
Buggy, travel cot (please book in advance) and various indoor and outdoor toys are available and included in the price. Barbecue and charcoal for the first meal (!) are provided. For the first few days, kitchen roll, coffee, tea, a selection of spices and sanitary products (including sanitiser) are available. On arrival you will find a small selection of welcome drinks in the fridge. If you would like a shopping service on the day of arrival, please let us know before you arrive.
- The small town of Lichtenberg in the Franconian Forest is surrounded by a beautiful forest landscape and looks back on over 1000 years of history. A history trail depicts 1000 years of exciting everyday life in Lichtenberg. Ponds, lakes and meadows enliven the landscape. The late medieval market and the round tower on the Schlossberg with the remains of the old castle wall and the historical signposting characterise the townscape. A visitor mine, the "Haus Marteau" music centre, local history and meadow festivals as well as the castle festival, the wildly romantic Höllental valley, the bathing lake with its lake stage and the excellent network of hiking trails attract many visitors every year. Cultural sightseeing tours as well as shopping and gourmet tours are available in the surrounding area. If you would like to visit Haus Marteau or attend a concert during the booking period, please let us know in advance. We will endeavour to make this possible.
