Excursions: Idar Oberstein: rock church, castle, Alte Weiherschleife, German Mineral Museum, gemstone mines Steinkaulenberg and much more. Excursions to the Moselle can be combined with a visit to Trier and Bernkastel-Kues. The entire Moselle with its beautiful wine-growing villages and many castles is well worth a visit. The Rhine, the Palatinate and the beautiful Saarland are all nearby.
Location description : The holiday flat is located on the main street of the small village of Frauenberg. There are plenty of parking spaces on the street. Frauenberg, a village on the upper Nahe between Westrich and Hunsrück, about 7 km south of Idar-Oberstein. Frauenberg is rich in nature and lies in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Germany. From the Hunsrück heights to the deeply incised Nahe valley, holidaymakers will discover magnificent landscapes everywhere. Experience great hiking opportunities up close on dream loops & vitality tours. The Countess Loretta Trail, which takes you past the medieval Frauenburg castle, can be described as a dream loop with a view. The local cycle path also passes close to our village. You can store your bikes with us or hire them from us. Wine lovers will find marvellous wines here on the Nahe. Rustic wine taverns invite you to stop for a bite to eat!
