It is located in the quiet village of Godahena, with a direct view of the 390-hectare Madampe Lake. In the landscaped garden there are many different types of trees and plants, including medicinal plants. The fruits of the tropical fruit trees are used in the villa's kitchen. The neighbouring lake creates a unique biodiversity. There is a wide variety of birds, wildlife, fish and vegetation. Only about two hours from Colombo and the airport (depending on traffic) - close to paradise - this is an ideal place to relax and unwind.

The private 12 metre long infinity pool has a maximum depth of 1.5 metres and is a great place to relax. Here you can enjoy the tranquillity of the lake while listening to the birds.

The old colonial villa has been carefully restored to preserve its original character and offer luxurious and modern comfort. The villa is 141 square metres in size and sleeps 6 people in three air-conditioned bedrooms with four four-poster beds - two doubles (one with a queen-size bed) and the third with two single beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is also a living room, a kitchen and a veranda that invites you to dine and relax with a view of the 12 metre long pool and the lake. Breakfast, daily cleaning, laundry service, boat trips and Wi-Fi are included.

Some beautiful and quiet beaches can be reached from the villa by tuk-tuk in about 15 minutes. Nearby is Ambalangoda, a lively town with many attractions, including the famous mask factory and museum and a historic bell tower. Not far away you will find the longest reclining Buddha statue in South Asia, as well as a moonstone mine, turtle and fish farms. Our manager will be happy to organise trips and excursions for you. On request, he can also organise a transfer to Colombo airport in an air-conditioned minivan.

The complimentary breakfast includes fresh tropical fruits, eggs (different varieties), toast, homemade jams, tea and coffee. Alternatively, a typical Sri Lankan-style breakfast can be requested in advance. During the day you can order food from our menu. This is freshly prepared on site in the kitchen of the neighbouring service house. Our own boat is available for exploring the lake. We also have kayaks and a stand-up paddle. Other activities on the property include boules, table tennis, badminton and croquet. Fishing trips can be arranged with the local fishermen and for massages we can book a masseur for you.
