We had a wonderful stay at the KInsea Cottage that is located on the Bay of Fundy in Margretsville. We like to cook dinner, so we were happy to see that the kitchen pantry had a nice array of staples (flour, sugar, etc) and spices. In addition, the kitchen was well-equipped, including a lobster pot and large electric griddle for cooking the fresh seafood that you can get at the wharf in Margretsville or in Harbourville. The gas grill was great for BBQing and there was plenty of wood for the backyard firepit and s'more making. We had a great first day just hanging out at the Margretsville Wharf, buying reasonably priced art at the Art Shack and walking to the waterfall at low tide. In addition, we made trips to hike Cape Split, visit Burntcoat park, and bike on the rail trail from Kentville to Wolfville. Leslie gave us plenty of other great suggestions, but we only stayed five nights. I highly recommend visiting the NSLC store in Kingston (15 minutes away) and have one of the workers help you find a nice Nova Scotian wine to go with all the amazing seafood.
