Hi there! We're Jamie and Mike, high school sweethearts now living in Michigan with our two adventurous young girls. We bought this cabin back in 2010 while living in North Carolina, and it's been a special place for us ever since.

Our dream is to create lasting memories here as a family—and we’re thrilled to share that same experience with you. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning for another Smoky Mountain escape, we hope our cabin feels like your home away from home.

Mike has been visiting the Smoky Mountains since he was a kid, and it's always held a special place in his heart. After he met wife Jamie, we kept the tradition alive—returning year after year to enjoy the beauty and charm of the mountains together.

In 2010, during one of our trips, we stayed in a rental cabin and realized it was time to find our own little escape in Pigeon Forge. We wanted to be close to the action, but far enough away to truly relax—and most of all, we wanted a view that would take our breath away.

We must have looked at 50 cabins before we found the one. The moment we pulled up to Sunset Cabin, we knew it was home. The panoramic mountain views were everything we dreamed of, and being less than 5 miles from the main strip in Pigeon Forge (and Dolllywood) gave us the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.

Now, we’re thrilled to share this special place with you, and we hope it feels like home the moment you arrive—just like it did for us.

The views from Sunset Cabin are some of the best in the Smokies—best enjoyed from one of three spacious decks with cozy rocking chairs and a swing. Our favorite recent upgrade is the wraparound decks on the main and lower levels, which really extend the living space outdoors. With a gas fire pit, grill, and a beautiful alfresco dining area under twinkling string lights, it’s the perfect setup for unforgettable mountain evenings.

Inside, the fully upgraded kitchen is a standout—high-end finishes and everything you need to cook up a feast with a view. Whether you're enjoying a casual breakfast or a full dinner under the stars, the indoor-outdoor dining flow is one of the things that makes this cabin truly special.

For fun and relaxation, we’ve got a private hot tub with a row of six rockers nearby, and a second living space with games, including two arcade machines—one with over 50 classics like Ms. Pac-Man (Mike’s personal favorite!).
