Host was extremely responsive and helpful. Check in was quick. Check out was equally quick and easy. The views are incredible and the home is exquisite. The views take the day with the patio!

We had an amazing stay at this gorgeous home. Couldn't have asked for ANYTHING more! Each and every bedroom was pristine, contemporary and beautiful with spectacular views, kitchen well stocked with every appliance small and big and glassware/dinnerware/silverware, loads of board games, the great room and the wrap around numerous patios were amazing places to hang out in! Also the front patio was a lovely place to hang out in with the new gas grill! Definitely five stars and more!! Wish we could have stayed there longer!

We were completely satisfied with our rental experience. 16 adult family members and 3 small grandbabies all stayed comfortably for my mother’s memorial in her 100th year. We were able to work in the kitchen together, which was well stocked with all hard goods, and working appliances. there were not pantry items, such as spices or other cooking basics. But that was OK and not expected. Coffee, tea and espresso machine were nice touch. plenty of space to be together indoors and separate with multiple outdoor spaces for time alone. The house was well described on the website and the host’s communication and responsiveness was excellent (hangers, a couple blankets). The house wasn’t soundproof, of course, but did mask significant amount of the noise of a large group. The two guests staying in the 2 bed loft were very flexible, but it would not be an ideal setting for someone who requires full privacy or significant quiet. we spaced out the small children on the 3 floors so they didn’t keep each other awake. And the family was very tolerant of each other. The location is perfect, gorgeous view, close to everything, but does require driving. parking worked out just fine as we had only five cars for the seven parking spaces. everyone was thrilled with the accommodations I arranged. The only suggestions made were for an extra night light in the lower level hallway, and one bed being “slightly uncomfortable” (I did not notice it when I tested it). Thank you for our lovely stay.

We had the most wonderful gathering here with a group of advanced meditators and families. Not only is this home aesthetically beautiful, the energy of the space is very pure, welcoming and full of love. The layout's perfect for our group, with nooks and crannies for each of us to have private space when needed. The kitchen layout makes it easy to flow into snacks/meals and back to the living room very smoothly and naturally. The special tree on the deck was a big highlight for our tree-hugging nature-loving meditative group! :-) Vivicka, her husband, and Annalie their assistant are all so kind, gracious and communicative. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

the big house

It was wonderful to have the whole family together for our son's wedding. The only thing that could have made it better was adding another bathroom. But we were fine and it is a beautiful house with an amazing view.

Beautiful location

This property was perfect for our family to meet for Christmas. It has a spacious common room and a kitchen amenable for a crowd. The manager and owner were very responsive with a couple of issues upon check in. It's a little dated from the online description, but has plenty of space. Overall a great experience.

Great Property in Marin for Family gathering

Overall this is a great property. I had 19 guests stay here to attend my son's wedding in Deer Park Villa in Fairfax, CA. MY guests loved the place. Very spacious, excellent views. Doe to rains they could not entirely enjoy. For such a large home, with the incessant rains, my guest did not complain of cold. The heating system worked really well. The property was clean upon check in which was easy. Convenient to all the sights. One small issue was, in the entry level bath room, the sink seemed to drain slowly. This may need to be looked into by the property manager. Otherwise, no issues. I would definitely book this property again for a family gathering.

Perfect for my team offsite

This property was perfect for our team offsite of 14 people! The great room was huge and dynamic - we were able to move furniture around to accommodate our meetings and presentations, team dinner, a cocktail class, and even a team yoga session! The deck and its views were great for fresh air breaks between sessions. Anna, the property manager, was super responsive, and the process of getting vendors approved through her was relatively easy. Some might say that the fixtures and furniture were a touch outdated, but you honestly will not be able to beat the price of this large and accommodating venue. Everything was immaculately cleaned, and I loved that the kitchen provided more than enough NICE dinnerware for all of our meals. My team was super happy with the experience. Thank you Anna for your hospitality. We hope to be back again! :)

Significant deferred maintance

The location and view are fabulous. It is a big house with lots of sleeping options. The dishwasher didn't work well and leaked. The floor was warped by the dishwater due to on-going leaks. The heating system was not balanced. In one bedroom on the main floor, the furnace sounded like a jet engine and the heat was blown out of the vent at gale force. That bedroom was not usable as the temperature was 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the rest of main floor. The other bedroom on the main floor was also much warmer. The door to that room and the window had to be open to be able to sleep in it. A kitchen drawer was broken and not usable. A kitchen bar stool was broken also. It is a safety hazard and we were surprised that it was in the kitchen. It was quite cold in the downstairs bedrooms. The sliding glass patio door in the upstairs bedroom was very difficult to lock. There are a number of other maintenance issues at the house.

This guest was a problem from the get-go. She couldn't figure out how to get into a basic door - turning a handle. She called within 1 minute of check-in upset because she couldn't pick her room, other guests of her group already did, complaining "it just won't do". Huh? I was extremely patient, realizing hospitality is most important. The house has individual temperature control (a rarity!!) for the bottom floor (4bedrooms). She adjusted the vents on the middle floor on the home so that the heater blasted more in one room than the other. As far as the dishwasher, there are two, and it did not leak on them, it had a "do not use" sign on it - plus it wasnt used! Normal - everything worked for her, she had no leak and she had a working dishwasher. Very irrational. The floor will be repaired underneath that dishwasher (it is not a eyesore!) The kitchen drawer was slighly broken from previous guest and has now been fixed. This person even had a hard time locking the door when leaving. Every phone call was answered, and the process of locking the door and opening, was walked through with this guest. This review is unjustified.

Fantastic House for our Girls Weekend!!

We stayed at Marin Vista House for a family girls weekend, and this house had plenty of space to accommodate our group of 17. Communication with the property managers was fantastic, they were very responsive when we had a few questions. The house is in a beautiful location with amazing views. Our itinerary included hiking in the redwoods, visitng Napa/Sonoma, and activities in downtown SF so this was a perfect central spot between everything we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend this property to others!

Family Wedding

This was the perfect location and everything in the home was exactly as described. The house was perfect for our rehearsal dinner, views were incredible, there was plenty of space and plenty of plates, glasses, and cutlery. If you are a chef, bring your own knives and platters - not enough of these. We had a great time nonetheless.

Perfect Location for San Francisco and Sonoma Visit

I booked this house because of the location and the number of beds. I was taking my family on a trip for my 60th birthday celebration along with my sister's 55th and my sister in law's 50th. There were 11 adults and 5 children. The rooms were wonderful and everyone had a bed to sleep in. The views from the terraces are amazing! The location is perfect if you are going to San Francisco and nearby towns - Stinson Beach, Berkeley, Sonoma, Napa...

Perfect

This home was absolutely perfect for our wedding weekend. It was comfy, clean, and had nice open areas perfect for congregating. The house was well equipped with cooking and grilling utensils. The only slight inconvenience we had was a neighbor coming to the property to scold us about parking; however based on the owner's parking guides and our own review of the City's street parking limitations and official maps, we knew we weren't violating any parking limitations. We tried our best to placate her anyway and moving the cars into a different configuration seemed to satisfy her. All of us were truly sad to leave this house come check-out. It did a wonderful job of creating a "home" for us that weekend. The hosts were easy to get in contact with as well!

Wonderful Time and View

Our team and clients highly enjoyed the location and place overall. It was clean, well taken care of and definitely a great view. The space also was a great feature as we had a fairly large turnout. Everything was easily available locally and the guests definitely were very appreciative. Thank you!

Girls weekend getaway

We had 15 people staying for a weekend and had a great time. Plenty of beds, well equipped kitchen, beautiful outdoor space. We especially enjoyed the open common area.

Perfect for our Book Club get away!

We felt like we were away from it all! There was plenty of room for us to lounge with coffee in the mornings, sit around the table after our wonderful dinners, enough beds for everyone to be comfortable, and extra space for our puzzles & crafts! After returning from a walk up & down the hills we had a brief encounter with a neighbor who informed us we had too many cars (we only had 8) we moved 2 cars in to the garage to appease her. A lovely place for a large group!

Property was great for a big group

Everything was great at the house. We really enjoyed the stay and the kitchen was great for cooking for a big group.
