The location in Ronan was great, be sure to eat at Stella’s - great food, awesome coffee. Unfortunately, overall the house was disappointing. It was like staying at a relatives house built and decorated in the ‘80s. There was little inside decor to let you know you were in Montana.
Black and gold bathroom fixtures, uncomfortable bed, and very dated well worn sheets and stained towels..
The master bathtub was very narrow and could use a good scrubbing, yes there were marble walls.
The kitchen while fine, needs organization and thorough cleaning. I would hate to have the pot scrubber analyzed for bacteria! Also, the refrigerator was full of food, I assume owners and others. Vacation homes should be spotless and fridge emptied.
There were baskets overflowing with Montana brochures, so many it was frustrating to find benefit. The house manual could use a good review as well.
Fireplace was awesome but sofas incredibly uncomfortable and TV “tiny” for the size of living area. Finally the reason we rented this property were the online representations, especially the flowing stream - which was unfortunately bone dry. If I had known it was seasonal I would have rented elsewhere.
I know I am being hard, but if you are going to be in the vacation home rental market, you occasionally need to spend some money as well.
