The house and grounds are beautiful and the owner was very responsive to questions ahead of our stay. We had a fantastic stay but I want to highlight a couple of things. It might be standard in France but when we arrived I had to go around the house with the housekeeper and then sign to say it was clean. After a long drive this isn't the best start!The wooden stair case is beautiful but it is slippery in places. One of the children fell on the first day (no harm done) but one of the adults slipped and fractured his back in two places.Some of the plumbing is a bit funky, the sink didn't always drainwork. and sometimes the dishwasher didn't work.Reading this back it seems very negative but is it a wonderful, magical place and we all feel very lucky to have stayed here.

La maison est belle et très spacieuse. Nous étions douze et avons pu profiter pleinement du grand et beau jardin/parc, de la piscine et du terrain de tennis. Les chambres sont grandes et le mobilier ancien. L'espace est très privé et isolé, même si le couple de gardiens vit dans la maison d'à côté. Et pour ceux qui aiment les nuits étoilées, le ciel la nuit est un régal, loin de toute lumière.Les maisons anciennes telles que celle-ci viennent néanmoins avec leur lot de petits désagréments - difficile à nettoyer entièrement (poussière), portes et fenetres qui ferment mal, cuisine ancienne et petite peu adaptée à un grand groupe (12 à nourrir 3 fois par jour), mobilier parfois abîmé (parasols, chaises de jardin). Il s'agit aussi d'une maison privée, avec beaucoup d'espaces marqués comme tels (placards, pièces), et il est parfois un peu difficile de savoir ce qu'il est autorisé, ou pas autorisé, de faire. Il a fait extrêmement chaud (35-38 degres) mais il n'y avait aucun ventilateur fourni - il aurait été facile d'y remédier. A noter également, l'usine Atemax à Saint-Langis dégage certaines nuits de fortes odeurs désagréables qui atteignent la maison portees par le vent (pourtant située à 9 km), difficile lorsqu'on doit dormir les fenetres ouvertes en pleine nuit d'ete. Quoiqu'il en soit, il s'agit d'une bonne base pour découvrir le Perche et passer du temps en famille ou entre amis.

We stayed at this lovely property as family group and everything worked well for us: lots of tennis, pool activity and occasional trips out. The grounds are ideal with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating and masses of space. Indoors all the bedrooms and reception rooms were very comfortable as well as being a feast for the eyes. The cooking and dining equipment was all plentiful. It helped to have enough French to be able communicate with all concerned.

A dream holiday destination

We stayed for five blissful weeks with a variety of friends and family visiting. We absolutely loved everything about this wonderful home. The grounds are delightful for children and adults alike and the house is a haven of cool tranquility on a hot day. We particularly appreciated the feeling that this was truly a family home with toys, books, equipment for your every need. We would love to visit again.

Perfect Large Family Stay

The large house provided ample space for our family of 15 to enjoy. With small children, most of the time was spent at the pool, which was perfect for young and old. The grounds and woodland provided much entertainment for the children and helpful shade for those very sunny days. Everyday the tennis court was used and the wildlife very varied. Cows, deer, Red squirells, birds etc. Our only concern was the size of the fridge freezer. With so many mouths to feed, this was not big enough to keep more than one days supply in food and drink. But overall a fantastic location, no one to bother you.

Brilliant family holiday

We booked this property for my Dad's 60th birthday and had the best time! Brigitte was very responsive to any questions we had and the house surpassed all expectations. Very well equipped and perfect for a multi generational family like ours. Thanks again!

Juste géniale !

Impeccable pour séjour en famille ou à plusieurs familles, énorme terrain, tres belle propriété isolée et tranquille, chouette piscine et terrain de tennis. 15 jours magnifiques, quasi sans sortir de la propriété. Supermarché à proximité. Pas grand chose à visiter à moins de 100km.

Charming old house with stunning gardens

The house is fascinating and has been in the owners’ family for 400 years! The gardens are the highlight with beautiful trees, tennis court and swimming pool. The house is well equipped and spacious. It’s an old house and obviously the charm comes with a few quaint glitches such as a few plugs not working. But it really didn’t matter; the weather was glorious and starry nights all spent in the beautiful gardens! The kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend. A welcome pack would be a useful addition especially for people arriving late after shops close!

Un super séjour familial!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle maison! Super séjour familial ( à 3 familles) où nous avons profité à fond de la piscine et du tennis! Bel accueil... propriétaire charmante! Merci!
