Charming authentic house

Charming house and grounds in a quiet location but still accessible to surrounding areas for excursions and sight seeing. Perfect for a larger family, with lots of space. The house is an authentic French family home and, as such, may lack the polish some may expect but we found it delightful! The host was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with.

Charming country house, lovely pool

Beginning with a wonderful welcome from Catherine, we had a magnificent stay in this large mas. The house is full of character, which we unfortunately failed to make the most of as we spent all our time outside! It happily accommodated two families and could comfortably take a third. The pool is great and a very decent size. The grounds provide plenty of lovely space for relaxing and dining and views. the location brilliant for exploring this part of provence. We would definitely return!

Morbider Charme auf dem Lande

In einem ca. 150 Jahre alten Guthaus mit viel Platz haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt, besonders hervorzuheben großer Pool und mehrere - teils angenehm schattenspendende -Außenplätze. Alte, gemütliche Einrichtung, viele Bücher, kleiner Fernseher. Wer etwas morbiden Charme liebt, kann sich hier sehr wohl fühlen.

Sehr schönes Haus

Unser Urlaub war sehr schön. Das Haus war super. Für uns und auch für die Kinder war der Pool einfach mega. Mit den Gastgebern immer schön zu kommunizieren, sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich.

Maison agréable même si nécessité un rafraîchissement

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans cette maison de famille. Notre séjour a été agréable malgré une déception à l'arrivée. En effet, nous avons été très surpris de l'état de la maison par rapport aux photos présentées dans l'annonce. Contrairement aux photos, la maison est assez sombre, et elle est "dans son jus", avec une décoration très personnelle et chargée avec des objets anciens. C'est une véritable "maison d'antan". Même si une partie de la maison semble avoir été refaite récemment, des parties sont anciennes et dans un état passable. De plus, même si la qualité de l'eau n'est pas altérée, les parois de la piscine sont très abîmées. Nous aurions apprécié d'être prévenus au moment de la location, plutôt que le jour de notre arrivée sur les lieux. En revanche, la maison est très bien équipée. La cuisine est fonctionnelle avec tout le matériel nécessaire de cuisine et beaucoup de services de rechange. Les chambres ont des literies confortables et de grands rangements. Les extérieurs sont très agréables et bien entretenus, avec de nombreux coins pour prendre un verre et/ou manger, selon les envies et la météo. Les enfants ont apprécié les nombreux jeux à disposition (notamment tennis de table et balançoire). Le contact avec la propriétaire est très facile, elle a été à l'écoute de nos demandes et très réactive. Malgré les contrariétés de l'arrivée, nous avons passé un séjour très agréable, dans une région magnifique.

Séjour très agréable

- Très bonne localisation géographique (Arles, Baux de Provence, Camargue, Tarascon, Beaucaire... à proximité) - Environnement calme et verdoyant (les prés aux alentours sont irrigués, ce qui maintient une fraîcheur très agréable, avec des températures probablement de 3 à 5° inférieures à celles d'Arles) - Maison très bien équipée (vaisselle, électro-ménager, climatisation) - on sent qu'on est dans une maison de famille - Fermier à côté très discret et serviable - Très peu de moustiques !!! - Piscine très grande (6x12)

A Fantastic place to stay a real home from home with a beautiful swimming pool

I would highly recommend this property. The house had loads of character and was extremely well equipped with everything we could ask for. It was a pleasure to spend two weeks in a property that we felt at home in as soon as we walked through the front door. The pool was amazing and the grounds were lovely and well maintained. The owner met us on arrival and was very helpful and welcoming. The farmer next door was on hand if we needed anything throughout our stay. The location of the property was also great not too far from good road links however we felt as if we were in the middle of nowhere and it was extremely peaceful and quiet. The property was only a short distance from Arles which is a lovely city with a great Amphitheatre. We also would recommend kayaking under the Pont du Gard which is under an hour away. Also a visit to the beach in the Carmague is also very accessible and is under an hour away. We hope to come and stay here again someday.

ein Paradies für Familien

Wir haben in diesem wunderschönen Haus 3 sehr erholsame Urlaubswochen verbracht. 6 Erwachsene mit 4 Kindern - der Pool war natürlich meistens der Mittelpunkt. Eine schattige Essecke am Haus vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen die Adresse zum Auftanken nach Ausflügen ans Meer oder in die geschichtsträchtige Umgebung. Die Ansprüche der 3 Familien waren sehr unterschiedlich und dennoch war für alle genug dabei. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht und von Zuhause kennt. Es ist stark geprägt von den ehemaligen Bewohnern und der Eigentümerin, die es nach wie vor bewohnt. Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub, nicht zuletzt wegen dieser charmanten Unterkunft! Vielen Dank!!!

Wonderful provencal home to entertain and relax.

We were at Chateaubas from Australia to celebrate the marriage of our daughter so we needed a place for many family members to stay and where we could easily entertain family and friends from Australia and all over the world. This beautiful old home is large, has many different areas both inside and out creating a warm welcoming atmosphere. We ate long luxurious meals at the outdoor tables and played boules in the courtyard. The pool was fantastic, the garden so pretty. Chateaubas has enough cutlery & crockery to feed the hordes so it was truly a home away from home. We will be returning and I would recommend this as a brilliant option if there are many of you travelling together.

Maison très agréable, mas ancien avec beaucoup de charme, chambres spacieuses. Maison idéale pour famille avec enfants. La piscine est magnifique et bien entretenue. Grand jardin, très reposant autour de la piscine L'accès à la maison est bien expliqué dans la brochure d'accueil
