Location Location Location

This was a fantastic place to stay for ski in - out access. Everything we needed was there, comfy beds, but star of the show is where you are in proximity to the mountain. Can’t beat it, would stay again.

Great location- not child friendly

Loved the location, and the condo. It was very clean and had everything you could need for an extended stay. The only complaint is that it is very non-child friendly. As 2 families traveling with 4 kids (16,7,3,1), the upstairs where the bunk beds are required some serious child-proofing. The banister slats on the loft are large enough a grown adult could fall through. So, not ok for kids or even some drunk adults. I expected the stairs to be tricky, but was shocked by the upstairs banisters. Other than that, great place.

Not Exactly as Advertised

This condo's best feature, by far, is its location adjacent to the slopes and the great views of the slopes across the way and the village below. The description says, "walk out, ski in". The "ski in" part is terrific. You ski right to your doorstep and walk about 30 feet or so to the ski lockers. "Walk out" may be more accurately described as carry your skis and poles while walking down 20 steps (some of them covered with snow and ice) while wearing ski boots. Then walk across the street and climb a slippery, 6-foot hill while carrying your skis and poles. Not a big deal for the younger folks, but a bit of a challenge for the older of us. The interior of the condo was OK, but there was only 1 TV and it had the annoying habit of locking up for 5 minutes or so every 45 minutes or so it could re-boot itself.

Perfect ski-in/ski-out location

We are a family of 5 and we had an amazing stay. The bedrooms and shared space (kitchen, living room) were spacious. Beds were more than comfortable. The location is perfect for skiing. The condo overall and this particular unit are somewhat dated, but this did not take away from the experience. If that was it I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because the previous guest's gargabe was still in the bin when we checked in (and it smelled), and when we called the management company, they couldn't tell us where to put it (hence 4 stars for communication with management company) I think these are easily fixable issues by an attentive management company or owner and The only problem with the stay is the incovenience of needing to go to the offsite management company to pickup AND to dropoff the keys. One of the major advantages of this place is not needing a car due to the free town bus, the Retretia shuttle and the location on the moutain. I could maybe understand the need to stop by the offsite location to pickup the keys and check-in. However, requiring another trip to dropoff the keys is very inconvenient. I see no reason they couldn't allow you to leave the keys in the condo (but if you do you'll have to pay $50). Other than that, the place was great.

Great Location Slopeside

Great location for a ski in/ski out vacation. The "walk out" is about 20 yards, which is similar to all the other condos along the run. Property was clean and as advertised. If you're flying into Steamboat and taking the shuttle from the airport, do note that you need to check in/out at the rental company's office, not the condo itself. Staff was helpful in arranging lift tickets. Overall, great place for a group of friends or a family!

Great Location - poor sleep

Summary: A nice ski in/walk out place so great locations. We even saw a moose from our balcony. The place was spacious and we appreciated that with two families sharing it. BUT the hot tub parties kept us up all night, the lack of two car parking and the hassle of driving keys to and from a different location bring this property rating down. Here are my notes: Good -nice kitchen -lots dishes -updated appliances -two living rooms for hangouts -spacious Ski in condo -they had lots of board games and sleds but we didn’t know that and had packed our own -entryway was great for keeping jackets and boots -nice deck -they have extra sleds for kids but we didn't end up using any -they have in condo laundry machine but we also didn't use but nice to have available Not good -stairs and railing not to code and concern for anyone with younger kids - serious concern for small kids falling down stairs or over top level of home. -hot tub is right outside our windows. Kept us up!!!!!! Each night a large group of people 12 got in hot tub and stayed for hours drinking and playing loud music. Way past quiet hours. -sheets feel low quality or washed with bad soap. Not comfy. -beds not that comfy -Overall between the beds and the nightly hot tub parties we got very poor sleep -they only gave us two keys and one parking space. For a 3 bedroom condo we would have liked one more key card and one more parking pass to meet our needs with two families sharing the condo -Have to pick up and return keys a ten min drive from condo

Great mountain side location

Everything was comfortable and clean. The owners have updated everything nicely. The hot tub and sauna onsite were bonuses. You can literally walk out and ski to the base. Good value good location good times. Thx!

spacious condo

Really liked the condo, lots of space; had everything we needed. Over the weekend the parking was less than ideal (we were only allowed to park one car in the lot, we had 2 cars and 6 people). Also in the middle of our stay the resort management group changed the lock to the door that goes to the ski slope; we called several times and this was not corrected, had to wait for someone to let us in the building. The ski lockers were great. Be careful if you have little kids, my 3 and 7 year olds were able to easily fit through the "decorative" railings on the 2nd floor.

Great stay

Everything was as we had hoped and more. The ski in/ski out factor was big for us and it couldnt have been any better. The slopes are literally right out your back door which offers a cool view from your balcony. We had 10 people and sleeping arrangements were no issue as everyone had a comfortable place to rest their head. All in all a great trip, we will hopefully be back one day.

Close walk to everything Ski!

We really enjoyed our stay in Steamboat. The condo was great and had everything we needed. It was within really short walking distance to the base area, shops, and restaurants. Fantastic to have an elevator with it being on the top floor. Will be looking to come back again.

Ski in/out very close the Christie's base.

Loved the ski in/out, mudd room at the entrance of the townhouse plus a locker room on the first floor of the bldg. elevator in the bldg. (very important, our friends 2 blgs down did not have one) plus washer and dryer in unit. Comfortable townhouse. Kitchen well equipped. Dishwasher did not work at the time, but didn't mind bc didn't cook very much. There was an issue with gnats in sliding door and all windows, called retreatia and the same day they came to clean up! Nice balcony to sit and see ppl skiing/snowboarding and ppl on the coaster. Overall this unit had great views of the slopes and comfortable in every aspect! our family had a great time and definitely would recommend this unit.

Perfect Spring Break Ski Trip!

Retreatia was very informative and in good communication with us leading up to and throughout the trip. Excellent slope access. Property was very clean and well-maintained with everything we needed to cook and have a great trip. This was our first time to Steamboat; we’ll be back. We had 4 adults and 3 kids between our two families; it was a perfect size for us.

Beautiful views and great location to the slopes. We had everything we needed, and the staff was more than accommodating. I would advise renting a car if you need to get around. We had to get a taxi to bring us to the grocery. I wouldn't recommend this property for beginner skiers. We had two beginner skiers in our group who couldn't ski home in the evening because the track home was to difficult for them. They took a bus back up; however, they were told the bus couldn't take them to the condo so they had to walk with skis and poles.

Really ski in, ski out

Wow, nicely appointed, right on the slopes. Had to walk about 75 feet to put on your skis, but skied right back to the door. Nice hot tub, sauna and ski locker on the first floor.

Storm Meadows 300-400

Checking in and out was a breeze and the location was centrally located. Our group of 6 (adults) really enjoyed the stay and the location, and we've already talked about coming back next year. The updating was right on point, especially given the fact that it's situated in an older complex. While this condo can sleep more folks (great for a group with children) I don't believe that it lends itself to more adults than we had for this outing. Overall, very happy - thanks!
