Little trip in Venice

We had a great weekend in Venice, the property is perfectly located and the neighbourhood is really chill. The house is really pretty and there is a little patio.

Nice quiet neighborhood

There were lots of things places very close to eat, drink and shop. Beds are comfortable. Shower is a little tight. It is like staying at friends house rather than a hotel/rental.

Une perfection !

Vraiment un endroit où on se sent bien, décoré avec goût, on sent que le propriétaire a réfléchi intelligemment à l'atmosphère, c'est idéal pour un séjour à Venise. Entre autres, par exemple, des CD de Beethoven joué par Richter, Bach par Gould, de belles affiches, Klee, Vedova, des détails qui comptent. La vue sur un petit canal et le mur de l'Arsenal, la petite cour privée, dès qu'on arrive, on a envie de revenir car ce n'est pas une location banale. Mais pas en été quand il fait chaud ! (même s'il y a l'air conditionné, vraiment indispensable).

Nice little apartment

We had a nice stay here over all. It is not fancy but who can complain about a clean little apartment on a canal!? It took a day but I figured out there are places to buy food and drink near the neighborhood church, San Martino. Comfortable beds and nice quiet place with plenty of room. My only advice is to make sure you verify check out time on your departure date with the owner the day before you arrive. In my case all was resolved but his cleaning staff arrived two hours early. A quick email to Alfio confirming the check out time is all that would have been needed. He’s very nice. The neighborhood is dreamy!

Felt like a local in Venice

Castello was a great little apartment. Really easy to cook and do a load of washing. Right next to a canal which was lovely. It was very nice and quiet as it is about 10 min walk from the main attractions of Venice and restaurants. Felt like one of the locals in this area.

Appartement sympathique

Appartement facile à trouver depuis l'arrivée en vaporetto. Le propriétaire nous avait tout expliqué par mail avec schémas à l'appui. L'appartement est mignon, bien décoré, bien équipé. Le wifi ne marchait pas, mais nous avons trouvé facilement dans les cafés aux alentours. Un petit bémol cependant, nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à ouvrir la moustiquaire côté rue afin d'ouvrir les volets. Pour les autres moustiquaires impossible à ouvrir, nous avions envie d'aérer la maison car de fortes odeurs d'humidité. Mais que dire, c'est normal à Venise surtout près du canal. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Ruhige und sehr gute Lage

Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gefallen. Ruhig gelegen, aber doch schnell "im Trubel". Gute Anbindung an die "Wasserbusse" - Station Arsenale mit Koffern gut zu erreichen - nur 1 Brücke!!!! Sehr geräumig für 2 Personen. Gute Ausstattung, wenn man kochen möchte und u.a. den frisch auf dem Fischmarkt gekauften Fisch zubereiten will. Supermarkt ist auch schnell zu erreichen, als Venedigfan weiss man schon, wo sie alle versteckt sind :-) Schnell (ca. 100 Meter) ist man auf dem Campo do Pozzi, dort ist eine Bar/Osteria wo man morgens "italienisch" frühstücken, tagsüber/abends leckere, verschiedene Gerichte essen kann. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr gut, leider hat es mit dem persönlichen Kennenlernen nicht geklappt, aber die Übergabe des Schlüssel war kein Problem. Wir würden wieder hinfahren. Astrid Z.

Fantastic apartment

It was an incredible experience to have our own apartment in such a quiet neighbourhood in such a historic and beautiful city! The apartment was a lot bigger than expected and very well equipped. We cooked a few meals with ease and were able to get some laundry done. Having the canal right there is pretty unreal, and we had a few singing gondoliers go passed. The location is great and easy to find from the Arsenale water taxi station using Alfio's drawn map. Our short interaction with Valentina was great and very easy, and communication with Alfio was awesome and extremely helpful. The apartment was as described if not better and if I ever went back to Venice I would certainly try to book with Alfio again!

Great apartment

The apartment was fantastically stocked and very spacious. It could sleep 6 tightly. The location was great, it was fantastic being on the island and watching as the other tourists board the ferry every night to return back to the mainland. The apartment was so well stocked that we managed to make a 3 course meal one night, it has every kitchen appliance you can think of, including a juicer and a garlic press. My only complaint with the apartment was the owner's attitude. We had problems one day figuring out how to light the stove (turns out we accidentally turned the switch off) but when I called Alfio for help he was extremely rude and yelled at me through the phone. He was not helpful and it came as quite a shock as he had always seemed pleasant through emails.

appartement tres bien situe dans un quartier calme et populaire (castello) a l'ecart des lieux touristiques et pourtant tres proche de St Marc. Vaporetto a quelques minutes . Le proprietaire que nous n'avons eu que par messagerie etait a notre ecoute et nous a meme permis de partir a 17h le dernier jour. Le seul point négatif est le ménage qui est fait de facon succinte par la personne qui nous a accueillie et qui ne parle que l'italien. Tres bon rapport qualite - prix pour une ville qui est tres chere.

Pretty nice appartment ve...

Pretty nice appartment very well situated in Venezia in the Castello area. the district and environment are very quiet, not too much tourists and near the the St marco place by vaporetto (stations 5 minutes) or by foot. (walking in Venezia is a true pleasure). The appartment was very clean and Mme Valentina friendly, even if she speaks only italian. Small problem with the wardrobe in the bedroom ; the door was broken ans the wardrobe already 1/2 full with linen and blankets. the littre oven is a bit old, better to change it for a microwaves oven. Very pleasant stay in this appartment. A good choice to visit Venise.

"E' stato un soggiorno piacevolissimo nell'appartamento situato in una posizione molto tranquilla, con negozi per la spesa a 10 mn a piedi.
