Deer View Lodge is the perfect mountain lodge for friends and family.



The Space:

This much-loved mountain lodge features a large comfortable living space with soaring ceilings, wood floors, beautiful wood trim, high-quality leather sofas, comfortable chairs, a 25-foot stone fireplace, and a large-screen HDTV, VCR, DVD, and surround sound.   There is room for a large group to gather or for a smaller group to stretch out in warmth and comfort around a crackling wood-burning fire.



The recently remodeled, fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops is a chef's delight--completely supplied with all the cookware and dishes you need for a simple meal or grand holiday feast. The spacious kitchen and dining room offer another stone fireplace (this one with gas logs for convenience) and seating for 16 (8 at the dining table, 4 at the bar, and 4 at the breakfast table).



Outside three covered decks run the length of the home, where you can enjoy outdoor dining, reading, relaxing, gathering around the propane firepit, and relishing our cool mountain climate.  The decks overlook the lush forest of evergreens and a variety of deciduous trees.



The whole family will stay entertained with six televisions, a game room with air hockey & shuffleboard, high-speed Internet, WiFi, and a six-person hot tub!   There is a home office area where you can work from home or handle homework, edit videos, or enjoy some gaming on your laptop.



The main floor master suite has a king-sized bed and a large full bathroom. Upstairs, the family suite has two rooms, one with a king-sized bed and full bath, and a second bedroom with 2 twins plus a youth bed (toys included!) 



The lower level has a large king suite with a sitting room, smart TV, and bath, plus another bedroom with a queen bed and adjoining hall bath. Between the bedrooms, a large game room has air hockey, shuffleboard, darts, a bar sink/a small fridge plus a gas heater to warm things up! The utility room with a full-sized washer and dryer is also located on this level.



Both the main level and lower level have multiple access points to the three wonderful covered decks running the length of the house. On the lower level, step out and enjoy the six-person hot tub, swing, and additional seating overlooking the forested setting. The main level has both a covered front porch and back porch as well as an open deck off the great room. Enjoy covered dining outdoors and prepare your meal on the top-notch stainless propane grill (two tanks of propane provided). Take your pick of rocking chairs, swing, dining tables, or chairs and, if need be, turn on the outdoor propane heater.



And, Deer View Lodge is very pet friendly with steps on the lower level to access a good-sized dog run.



Only minutes from either Blowing Rock or Boone, the setting is private yet within a friendly mountain subdivision, so you are always within walking distance of neighbors.  Access is paved up until the last half mile, where a narrow, one-way paved road turns onto a gently sloped gravel road that meanders to the front door of the lodge.  A four-wheel drive vehicle is necessary for winter access when weather conditions dictate that guests prepare for snow and/or ice-covered roads.



Pet Rules: 

Pets allowed with approval - a maximum of 2 dogs. There are no weight requirements.

Your dog(s) must be fully housetrained and current on vaccinations and Flea & Tick preventative; cannot be left loose or unattended at any time; must be crated if you leave them home alone, crate(s) not supplied; pets are not allowed on the furniture and you must clean up any hair in the home upon your departure; Please make sure to clean up the yard after your dogs; if there is a hot tub, dogs are not allowed in it. There is a non refundable and taxable pet fee per dog.

Getting Around:

***During the winter season, 4wd vehicles are required for this cabin from Thanksgiving-March 31st. If you are within these dates please make sure all guests have 4WD vehicles or are able to obtain a 4wd vehicle prior to the stay.



Detailed check-in instructions will be emailed before arrival. Make sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive them.

Non-Smoking Pets Considered: must have prior approval to bring a pet (dogs only).

Maximum of 2 dogs. No weight limit. Pet Fee $100/dog

Interaction with Guests:

We will communicate via email, text or phone as needed. Guest will be given 24 hour emergency number to use during their stay in case of an after hours emergency.
