I would highly recommend. Beautifully renovated Gite set in lovely established gardens. The outdoor heated pool is a blessing especially for the children! The nearest town Descartes (5 min drive away) is a bustling village town with all the amenities you need; bakeries, supermarket, restaurants, bars, gift shops, pharmacy, P.O. etc. A little further away in Le Grand-Pressigny I would recommend a local restaurant called La Grandma serving delicious french food, lovely local wines at good prices with a very friendly atmosphere. The owners, Sue &Trevor are lovely people and nothing is any trouble, they will even book your table for you! On arrival Sue & Trevor leave a welcome basket with baguettes, cheese, milk etc which is greatly appreciated after a long journey. We definitely recommend La Bouchet to our family and friends and would advise that 1 week isn't enough to explore this beautiful area of France. We stayed for 1 week and wish we had stayed longer! On the way home we visited the old capital of France (learnt from Sue & Trevor!) called Loches. We are glad we visited as it was beautiful with cobbled streets steeped in history. It is buzzing with cafes, boutiques, street markets selling everything from cheese, fruit, gifts, wine etc. Thank you Sue & Trevor for a wonderful holiday, from the Matthews and Evans family!
