Rural escape in a beautiful, historic vineyard

The apartment on the ground floor of the chateau was incredibly spacious and cool, even when the temperatures soared outside. The chateau's thick walls helps maintain a constant comfortable temperature. Comfortable beds and sofas, a great shower (over the bath), a well equipped, 'rustic' kitchen and a spacious dining room plus private garden and use of the delightful pool made this the perfect country getaway for 4 adults.

It doesn't get much better than this...

The perfect vineyard in a beautiful rustic region in the South of France. The grand buildings are interesting, the gates are imposing, the chateau's wine is georgeous (and award winning). The swimming pool is in a located in a clearing in woodland and feels like a hidden oasis. The owner is very friendly as are the vineyard staff. Bring bicycles to visit local villages and explore the area.

Beautiful, quiet and tranquil

We had the pleasure of staying in this magnificent chateau. Our spacious accommodation had everything we could possibly need. The local village has wonderdul supermarkets and we enjoyed preparing delicious dinners at home. The owner is friendly and most helpful and anything we needed was organised strait away. This is a budget stay, the accomodation is not 5 star so dont expect that, but it is absolutley comfortable and clean and a fantastic base to visit all thats on offer in the area. . We also had the privilege of tasting the most exquisite wine..of which we drank a little too much. And bought a lot home. The pool area is quiet and delightful and if i could go back tomorrow . I would.

La vie de château au milieu des vignes

Une belle semaine au coeur d'un domaine viticole avec une grande piscine : très bien situé pour explorer la région, de Carcassonne aux châteaux du Pays Cathare, en passant par l'Abbaye de Fontfroide et la côte narbonnaise. Accueil très sympathique de la propriétaire, visite du domaine et dégustation de vins. Le logement est plaisant avec tout le confort nécessaire, jardin, terrasse ombragée et accès à la piscine cachée au milieu d'un petit bois de pins à proximité. Un lieu avec beaucoup de charme, je recommande !

Un agréable séjour dans l’ensemble. Un emplacement super dommage que certains points notifiés sur l’annonce n’y étaient pas ainsi que la propreté. Mais dans l’ensemble nous avons passé un bon séjour. Merci de votre accueil.

Séjour château du grand caumont

Bonjour, très jolie et agréable propriété le logement est spacieux et agréable. Un grand merci à Pascal pour son accueil, sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Mais gros bémol sur l'entretient : le jardin difficilement praticable pour les enfants car pas entretenu, toutes les literies sont hors d'âge et inconfortable, le ménage à l'arrivé très succin et impossible d'y remédier car pas d'aspirateur, le lave vaisselle hors service, les capsules usagées du précédent locataire dans la cafetière plus du café moisi dans le réceptacle... Vraiment dommage car le site, le contacte avec la propriétaire ainsi que l'accueil ont été parfait.

Merveilleuse semaine au château de Grand Caumont !

Quel endroit hors du temps ! L'arrivée se fait dans une magnifique propriété au milieu des vignes. Le décor est posé, nous savions que nous allions passer de merveilleux moments. Le chemin d'accès pour se rendre à la piscine est encore une autre parenthèse enchantée à nos vacances. Lieux paisible et convivial (cuisine d'été à la piscine, grande terrasse avec barbecue devant l'appartement), il est de ces lieux que l'on aimerait garder secret tellement on s'y sent bien. Un grand merci à Laurence pour la visite du domaine et son accueil chaleureux !

Magnifique

Le site est fantastique avec les grands cyprès et les vignes tout autour du château. L'appartement est grand et très bien aménagé il ne manque rien. La piscine est absolument superbe perdue au milieu d'un petit coin de paradis. Que dire de Mme Rigal que nous remercions encore pour sa grande disponibilité et sa gentillesse. Une grande Dame sans aucun doute!! N'hésitez pas tout est parfait. Mr Lallier.

Séjour agréable et paisible

Nous avons vraiment passé une très bonne semaine dans le domaine de Laurence ! Mes amis et moi avons beaucoup profité des espaces extérieurs surtout de la piscine et le logement était très spacieux et propre. Merci beaucoup Laurence !

Superbe week-end entre amis

Nous sommes venus à 7 partager notre amitié au château du grand Caumont. Nous avons bcp apprécié l'accueil chaleureux malgré l'heure tardive de notre arrivée, la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Pascale qui nous a fait visiter le domaine avec bcp d'explications et d'humour. L'endroit est très joli et très calme. Merci !

Lugar encantador para desconectar de verdad. Una casa estupenda entre viñedos! Bien equipada, decorada con gusto, amplia, con un jardín encantador y un entorno precioso. Ideal para 4 personas. Con unos pueblos alrededor para descubrir y cerca de lugares como Narbona, Carcasona o Lagrasse que merecen una vista. Estoy deseando repetir¡. Muchas gracias a Laurence y Pascale. Son muy amables.

A lovely place with a great deal of interest, particularly for wine lovers

Laurence made us feel extremely welcome. We settled into the comfortable apartment immediately and were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings (vineyards, private garden and swimming pool). The apartment was as descibed, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished with all the facilities that we required for our stay. In particular, we were fascinated by the tour of the wine making facility and Laurence's explanation of the history of the chateau, her family connections with the area and how her grandfather changed from a Roquefort cheese manufacturer to a winemaker. Overall, we had a very relaxing week in the region and we were in easy reach of beautiful towns such as Carcassonne and Narbonne. In addition, the local town, Lezignan Corbiere was well served by good supermarkets, restuarants and shops. Very many thanks to Laurence for making our stay so memorable. Tony, Val and Paul Haslam
