Perfect weekend getaway house!!

Loved the convenience of the the boat dock and patio. Had all of the needed amenities and the rain shower had plenty of pressure. Definitely would stay there again

Return Visit

This was my second year staying at the property. In preparation for a fishing tournament, the house is located at an excellent location, close to the boat ramps. The property is also one of the nicest houses I stay at throughout the year fishing tournaments. I'll definitely be staying here again for on future trips to the Big O.

5:00 some where alright

My experience was terrible. There was a mix up with the payment from VRBO and the property owner. I was hounded by the owner for 1 1/2 days to fix this issue. I tried to resolve this with VRBO and was unsucessful. Due to no cell signal and the property does not have WIFI. Finally I wrote a check for the rental, cleaning fee and another check for the pet deposit. The misquitos were horrendous and the owner informed me that we would need to replace any propane that we used for the fire pit thinking that could deter the pests. The tank was completely empty and the sprinklers filled my boat with water. The owner then deducted a portion of my pet deposit because there was some dog hair in the home and feces in the yard. What the hell is the cleaning fee for?? I would not recommend staying here as the owner is very stressed and skeptical of who she rents to. She made me feel like I was a criminal while staying at her property!!

My husband and I spent a week here and it was absolutely amazing! The house was spotless, had everything you needed plus more, the host was the BEST, the canal was so peaceful, bed was comfortable, and the shower…….. amazing! We met the neighbors and they were super nice and very informative. I loved sitting on the dock and watch the sunset every evening and listen to the birds. The host communicated with me and answered any questions quickly. We brought our boat and was able to keep it in the slip no problem. The fishing in the canal was great! If my husband and I ever make our way back down to Lake Okeechobee, we would love to get this house again. Hands down, 10 out of 10!

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

The house was just as pictured. Everything we needed for an enjoyable week of fishing was provided, (except for the fish...they weren't biting!) The neighbors were super nice and informative. We will definitely consider your home for our next trip to Okeechobee!

Great get-a-way

We had a great time at this rental. The home was very clean and updated. We had everything we needed to cook and relax on the dock. The weather was stormy the last few days, but it didn’t matter. We could sit out on the covered dock, fish and relax. We caught lots of Blue Gills, Cichlids, Bass and Cat Fish. There were several turtles and a couple of gators that visited every day. The neighbor was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Lynne is easy to work with as well. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are out for our family reunion. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Vacation Spot

We love this home away from home. We come back every chance we get. It is perfect for fishing at Lake Okeechobee and enjoying the casino. Beaches and ocean are close by. Home is cozy and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

All the comforts of home!

Very nice! Has all of the comforts of home. Luxurious shower and master bedroom. The house is clean and very well maintained. Having a washer and dryer made it very convinent as well. Will defiantly be staying again the next time we visit Okeechobee.

Fantastic Home!! Great place to come back to after a day of fishing!!!

Lynn Your home is VERY NICE!! Thank you for allowing us to stay at such a beautiful place!! Both next door neighbors are super!! The outdoor area is absolutely fabulous!! I was surprised when reading the reviews that there was a lot about the shower! Oh My Lord that shower is FANTASIC!!! I am looking to put one in my shower at home now!! Just to let everyone know this place is Top Notch, I sincerely recommend to all to stay here!! If I am down around the Okeechobee area again I hope this place is available!! Best shower I've ever had!!!!

I was working in La Belle for a few weeks, and found this place. I was a little skeptical due to the hour ride, but it blew me away. A great back deck for relaxing after work. The beds were very comfortable. I have to rave about the shower though. Showers don't normally make the reviews, but its worth bragging about. Next time I'm in the area, I hope this place is available.

Very well kept. Super clean.

This house is by far the best on the street. We were satisfied with everything. The owner was kind and answered any questions we had. The beds were soft and the bathroom is modernized with a really nice shower. The only negative is that there is no wifi. If that changes we will be back to stay in the future.

Awesome place to stay!

This is the second time I have stayed at this place and I will continue to keep coming back here! Ideal location for putting your boat in at Scott Driver boat ramp, Okee-Tantee, Indian Prairie Canal or Harney Pond Canal. Very quiet dead end street. Plenty of parking space for boat and vehicles in front of house. Updated/modern bathroom looks awesome. All you need for relaxing stay. (Including the Keurig) Thanks Lynn

Perfect Lake Okeechobee Vacation Home and Dock!

The home and dock on Lake Okeechobee is perfect. The home and dock is equipped with everything you need for a worry-free vacation. The kitchen has all you need to cook dinner every night or grill out. If you want to dine out or shop, you are close to it all. The beaches are within an hour drive or less, if you want to sun yourself or you can enjoy the sundeck above the outside tiki bar and dock for your boat. The canal the home is on, is easy access to the locks entering Lake Okeechobee. The fishing was fun from the dock and our boat. The driveway has adequate room for vehicles and boat trailers. The neighborhood is very quiet and nice. Before we checked out, we were already planning a return trip. The house is so cozy, it is the perfect home away from home. Thank you for a very memorable vacation, we will see you again.

Wow...Perfection!

First off, I would like to thank our host's Lynne and Steve for an amazing week of R&R and for providing everything we could want and so much more! "5:00 Somewhere" far exceeded our expectations as it is beautifully decorated and extraordinarily clean and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the dock in the morning watching and listening to the vast array of beautiful birds gliding over the water. And the sunsets over the lake were amazing! We grilled fresh fish and fresh veggies (from a farm stand up the road) and sat around the fire pit in the moonlight by the water's edge and roasted marshmallows for S'mores. This is a little slice of paradise on a quiet street in a quaint little neighborhood. We are so thankful that we found it and cannot wait to go back! Thanks again to our gracious and thoughtful hosts!

Cute Cozy Well-Maintained and Centrally Located

We enjoyed staying in this cute and cozy home centrally located within 30-60 minutes of everything you'd like to do in Florida. We enjoyed taking day trips to Vero beach, eating Oceanside in West Palm, fishing on Okeechobee, or enjoying the wildlife via air boat ride in the Everglades. After a long day, we loved coming home to this quiet neighborhood, grilling outside, and kicking back on the deck. Thank you for a wonderful week of worry-free relaxation.

Better than advertised

My husband and I were very satisfied with our stay at "5:00 Somewhere." From the pictures, we were expecting a very nice experience, but it was better than expected. The rental was very clean and well appointed. The yard and docks were extra features for those who have a boat. The owner was very accommodating and prompt with response to our questions. The house was easy to find and convenient to restaurants and town. We would definitely recommend this rental to others. Thank you owners.

What a wonderful surprise to find everything one needs in such a lovely place. Neat and clean inside and out and in a perfect location for fishing and golf. We had guests for dinner who also remarked on how lucky we were to find a place that met our needs. We have been coming to FL for many years to visit with family and this was by far our best rental experience. A big thank you to the owners for making this available for others to appreciate.

Excellent Fishing Vacation

Although the fishing was a bit off the week I spent at Okeechobee, the house and service I received from the owners was excellent. The location is perfect for access to multiple boat ramps. I have traveled and stayed at many fishing "camps" and none of them have compared to the cleanliness and overall amenities of this house. The front parking provided plenty of room for our two boats and the neighborhood felt and was secure, we didn't have any concerns or issues leaving our boats out at night. I would recommend this house for anyone interested in spending time on the Big O. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Wonderful place to spend vacation

This home is a fantastic place to spend your vacation. It is just as the pictures show. It is very clean and decorated so cute it looks like it was professionally done. The docks are great, we kept out boat there. Relaxing by the water is wonderful. Lots of wildlife to watch, the fishing is good, not too far to get to Lake Okeechobee. The yard is totally fenced in, the neighborhood is friendly and safe. It is in a great location, less then 10 minutes to restaurants and stores. Lynne was very professional and friendly to deal with. We would not hesitate at all to rent this location again, we would highly recommend it, our family had a super vacation.
