Lovely house

Although smaller than expected, this property was lovely and had everything we needed, it was very well equipped. The location was perfect for us and we were very close also to the swimming pool. The only issue we had was finding the property and the parking space associated - the estate is quite confusing, and the door number also had one of the numbers missing which didn't help, and we never found our parking space number the whole holiday. All in all this is a very nice house and we would happily stay here again.

fantastic setting

the area is fantastic with lots of lovely walks around the marina, river and sea front or all three, the only downside to this was that the bridge across the river closes at 8pm and does not open until 9am, why? the property is very good, everything you need to make your holiday enjoyable, only 2 small con's,1, we felt the double bed was to large for the room, my wife banged her leg several times trying to maneuver between the wall and the bed. 2, the toilet was downstairs which wouldn't have been a problem but we had my wifes mother with us who is in her late 80s and found it slightly embarrassing but i still think its worth 5 stars

An average stay.

I recently stayed at this rental with my father, and overall, our experience was quite average. Good Points: - Communication with the host was smooth and efficient. Bad Points: - There was no toilet roll provided, which I believe should be a standard amenity in any rental. - The address plaque was missing a number making finding the property very troublesome. - The listing mentioned that no bed linen was provided, so we were aware of this beforehand. However, it was still quite odd and inconvenient to have to bring our own or pay extra for bed linen. The price for hiring the bed linen was extortionate, especially considering the overall cost of the rental. - There were several food items, including coffee and tea, left in the cupboards, but many were well out of date. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing and made us question the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the place. - Finding the car parking space was a real challenge. A map or clearer instructions would be very useful for future guests. We ended up using a space outside the complex, which was not ideal. - The lamp in the room with the bunk beds had a faulty cable, causing it to flicker on and off unless positioned just right. This was quite annoying and could potentially be a safety hazard. While there were some positives, the numerous small issues added up, making the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. Improvements in these areas could really make a difference for future guests.

Séjour calme dans un joli cadre

Dans un hameau au calme, petite maison bien équipée avec un petit jardin, proche de la plage et de Cabourg en suivant un chemin pietonnier et sa passerelle au dessus de la Dive. Piscine agréable dans la résidence sans trop de monde avec eau chauffée (sauf les douches). Le port et ses commerces (dépot de pains, restaurants) à 2 minutes à pied. Place de parking privative mais un peu petite (à cause d'une haie non taillée mais qui n'appartient pas au logement), mais heureusement grand parking à proximité.

Petite maison au calme

Le séjour au rez de chaussée est très bien. La terrasse en bois et sa table permettent de déjeuner dehors. Les chambres à l'étage sont très petites mais les lits sont confortables.

Der Empfang durch den Service war pünktlich. Die Einweisung erstreckte sich auf die Schlüsselübergabe und die Übergabe der Bettwäsche. Scheinbar war die Servicekraft leicht angetrunken. Die Abreise war unproblematisch.

Location en mai

Point positif : Le logement est bien situé, proche de la plage et dans une très belle région . Point d'attention /modification à apporter par les propriétaires : -) le logement ne comporte en réalité qu'une salle de bains et non 2 comme mentionné dans l'intitulé du logement et possède peu de rangements et est exigu s'il devait accueillir 7 personnes . -) Même en début de saison touristique, le logement devait être propre ; ce qui n'était pas vraiment le cas. Nous avons commencé nos vacances par un nettoyage (nombreuses poussières sur les murs , radiateurs, certains carrelages et joints de la douche étaient jaunis par les dépôt de savon, hotte graisseuse ) . Nous avons eu l'impression qu'un nettoyage de printemps n'avait pas encore été effectué. -) Merci également de veiller à la propreté du linge de literie laissé à la disposition des locataires . Les protège oreillers étaient sales . Le jardin n'était pas entretenu ( herbes hautes et nombreuses mauvaises herbes ) de sorte que, malgré la météo agréable, nous n'avons pas pu profiter pleinement du jardin . Ignorant la suite apportée à mes commentaires , je ne recommande pas cette location.

Points positifs : Très bon emplacement, proche du port de Dives, et de Cabourg centre ville. Points négatifs : pas de torchons fournis, ni de linge de literie, ni de linge de toilettes. Tapis de sortie de douche très très glissant et ressemble plus a un set de table qu’a un tapis, piscine fermée à nos dates de séjour dommage cela aurait dut être mentionné sur l’annonce, la wifi est présente contrairement à l’indication de l’annonce , le code est fourni mais pas le nom de réseau s’y rattachant. Séjour correct malgré ces petits détails.

A fortnight in Port Guillaume

Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday at this property! The proximity to Port Guillaume, Dives, Cabourg and the beach, as well as access to a private pool meant there was always something to do to keep our young family entertained. Every day was a busy day and the outstanding weather enabled us to explore a wide variety of activities and days out, suitable for the whole family (3 boys aged 3-5). We will definitely be returning another year 🙂
