Nice Flat but Poor Communication, Hidden Fees and Rules Overshadowed Experience
Lovely flat and good location, however a few warnings:- There is no bed linen or towels provided. You have to bring your own, or rent for an extra 100 from across the road. This was not communicated to us prior to booking, it was only communicated after payment. The linen rental place closes at night so if we had arrived at our initial intended time (11pm) we would not have had bed linen. - You are required to clean the place prior to departure, and an inspection will be conducted. This includes cleaning the toilets. This was not communicated on the listing. - The tap water is not drinkable. This was not on the listing, nor in the brochure we received online, nor were we told upon arrival. This was only communicated on the last day after we'd spent our entire trip drinking the tap water. There should be a sign over the sink to warn travellers. No drinkable water was provided. - The host is not particularly welcoming We felt like we were being watched and checked. She inspected the flat before letting us leave. The rules of the flat were clearly designed to outsource actions to the guest that the host should have done (e.g. linen and cleaning). In summary, the flat is nice and well located. But the rules make you feel unwelcome and they were not advertised on the listing.
