Again, I apologize for the inconvenience of the construction noise, but I could not have warned you because when we were there the week before there wasn't any construction or noise. I did find several available places for you to move to and offered a refund. As far as the appliances go, all but the washer have been replaced in the last 2-3 years. A permanent light outside at the grill area is a good idea, thanks. Thanks.for staying with us.

This is an extremely unfair review! I will gladly address each issue: * Guest said that one coffee maker was missing a basket, but he was able to use one from the other coffee maker and it worked fine. *The dishwasher is only a year old and works, there is hard water in CR so you have to rinse the dishes. * The access instructions have the unit number on them that the guest was provided prior to check-in at the main gate. * The BBQ tank was low and then ran out and it was refilled within 2 hours. * The AC works just fine, no one has ever mentioned a problem. * I have never heard of a guest being charged to use the pool at The Westin. * Mountain bikes are part of something provided by the Beach Club and not provided by or advertised by me, it's a bonus that they are available for free for guests. * I notified guests that the best way to reach the local tour guide was to contact him via Whatsapp. Had I known the guest did not make contact with him, I would have been happy to connect them even though that is outside of my duties as a "landlord". * As far as the broken kitchen cabinet door, a professional management team/cleaning crew goes into the unit after each guest and inspects everything before they begin to clean. They found a broken cabinet door, the guest claims his daughter had a video of the door in tact and she did, but the quality of the video was poor AND it was time stamped hours before their departure. When I asked guest about the door, he made derogatory comments about the cleaning crew and accused them of the damage. I have been using this crew for 8 years and this was only the second time that they have reported damage and we charged a guest, this is not a "common CR thing" as the guest has implied. * I had a lot of positive communication with the guest until I had to charge him for the cabinet door they broke, and clearly his review reflects being angry about being charged for something they did. As anyone can see from my previous reviews, our place is incredible and we go above and beyond to make sure our guests have a great experience!

Just a few notes about this review: * The dishwasher is about a year old, they just make them a little different in Costa Rica :) * The fridge drawer was broken by the previous guest and has been repaired * It is clear in our listing that The Westin access is not guaranteed, especially during the high season and with covid they have certainly restricted it more than normal. Most of our guests had some access even during the high season this year. * The Bougainvillea pool does currently require a reservation and it's very easy to do online Costa Rica is a special place and our condo is a great place to enjoy it!
